As far as I know Wade Egan doesn't make Haversacks, though he does make the straps that go with them. Is that what you are referring to? The straps are high quality products if that answers your question.

From the photos on the site it looks like Magnoli's.... You can see the "M.C.Ld" sign on the inside of the front cover...(Magnoli Clothiers Limited).. I'd guess he's selling those?

Perhaps, if I get a bag it will probably be a original from WPG but I was seeing my options

I think Wade Egan and Magnoli sell the same bag. I am sure I heard it somewhere. Also, Wade supplies Magnoli with some of his leather gear, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same bag.

Ah! And since the bags are the same, I can tell you about mine!? It's soft canvas, lightweight but well made and has more pockets than I can use honestly... Two main compartments, seperated by a canvas divider, two smaller pockets in the back, and one flat front pocket for books or small papers... I used it for the first time yesterday, and it's really useful! Not heavy enough to get in the way, and held all my stuff easily, wallets, keys, magazines and other stuff....A very useful pack all in all...The leather strap I have is easily shortened (Same as Mr. Egan's on the website) and lovely leather...Really well made.. If you're looking for a spot on Indy bag, you'd never go wrong with one of these...Great products..

fifthchamber, Wade's Super Holders are fantastic! The whip will not slip, seriously.
The bags sound great. I have Todd's which is also great. Same details that you described. It is very useful, I use mine on most weekends. Holds my phone, iPod, books and magazines, wallet, etc.

Noah... LOL...You've got the same things in it as I do...Heh...Figures eh? It IS a cool item though...Not obviously "Indy" either, so can be worn under a jacket most of the time without standing out...Useful I thought.. And yeah, the belts looked amazing actually...I'd been looking for one of the "super-holders" since that makes most sense to me when using the whip...It might not be 100% SA, but it's the most useful design, and I thought that was important... Wade is a hell of a craftsman, and I'm happy I found the stuff I wanted there! (Only the shoes away from a complete set...LOL..I'll need to wait a few years to get the Aldens though...No rush...;-)

Yeah the bag holds those items perfectly! You're right it isn't automatically recognized as Indy most of the time so it won't stand out.
Wade is sure a great craftsman. His gear is terrific. The Super Holder isn't SA but to me it doesn't matter because ut works MUCH better. You'll be happy with it.

If it helps I agree completely with Noah. YOU MUST HAVE A SUPER HOLDER. otherwise you take two steps and your whip is dragging on the floor lol and thats not very INDY haha

Yeah...In the photos I saw the double wrap design seemed a lot more practical... As much as I like the SA versions for clean looks and nice design, since this is for USE, rather than for show, I'd prefer my whip to not drag on the floor while being carried...LOL.. It's a small change, but a good one, so I was very happy to find the site!

With the other classic SA style whipholders, I would attach the whip to it and look away for a while and when I look back the whip is already starting to sag to the floor. Not too good LOL

Ah! I didn't know that Wade Egan sold Magnoli bags. But that makes sense since I believe Wade supplies Magnoli with Leather Holsters, Belts, and Bag Straps. Either way, both vendors make great products!

I love magnoli don't get me wrong but aren't the real bags on WPG cheaper? And you could get wades strap separate? That's what I did lol just a thought

Good Idea, I personally prefer the original bags.
