These are a pair of close-enough Indy gloves that I bought from a hardware store a while back. Got the time to distress them more. I rubbed them in dirt and mud, got them soaked in heavy rain for a few hours, and rubbed charcoal on them to make them black. At first I just rubbed the charcoal while the gloves were dry. Then tried it again while the gloves were damp. It works much better. Thanks Tekors for the tip on getting them damp first! This is the result, although I'm not finished yet.

Nice gloves I had some like that but they were just to grey for my liking.

Nice pair of gloves there Noah Look like a pair of proper archaeologist's fieldwork gloves ;D After a few days of hard excavation, everyone's gloves should look like that!

Thanks guys!
Buck, you could rub them in dirt and mud to give them more brown color. Mine were a bit whitish grey when they were new. It still looks greyish but I plan on rubbing it in the dirt more.
stargate, thanks yeah they sure do! I might just have an excavation in my back yard to dirty them even more. ;D

I'll just weed the backyard to distress my gloves. I, personally, would like to distress my gear while I'm doing something useful. Steven

I used them while doing things too, like some yard work, moving rocks and branches, having a barbeque, and so on, and they got dirtied up good. But I wanted to distress it even more than it was. If you want specific results, you gotta do it in specific ways. But doing it naturally is great too.

That's actually a pretty good idea. It won't get BLACK will it? ;D
Another thing I want to do is do some mechanic stuff. That'll get it real nice and dirty.
