I usually don't provide links to other sites but If you are Big Fan of this jacket...... I suggest you go take a look over here to see the jacket Riley made per the customers specs with leather that he supplied himself. Truly remarkable. www.fortuneandglory.org/index.php?topic=1164.15Cheers, John PS: Gunslinger is a member here so I am hoping he will share a few pics and his story about his jacket.

I've always liked Gunslinger's Raiders TNO jacket. It looks awesome! This jacket is only about 2 days old. Not a regular TNO. Cheers, John

Hold on a second, I think I'm either thinking of his other TNO jacket or themans?? Edit: Yep, themans jacket. And Gunslingers other TNO as well. www.fortuneandglory.org/index.php?topic=135.15But man, Kurt's new jacket is beautiful! Very nice! That's some great work by Riley and the company.

I'm honoured at the attention, G-Mann! I've been raving on about every part of the process of this newest jacket on Fortune and Glory so much that I kind of assume that everyone knows about it. So to clarify, first I got a TN from Tony that theman now owns. It was a Mk2 shrunken lamb (unstriated) that I had tweaked to match the Main Hero rather than the Hawaii / Imams jacket. Bottom line is that I felt it was too small for me, so I sold it to buy another one with some additional tweaks, but a bit bigger. I'd discussed it all with Tony in detail "No problem," he said and so I smacked down the cash before he went to Italy. Sadly the big guy never returned. Riley came in in the aftermath and came through like a champ. Neutronbomb took some shots of the individual SSL hides while he was visiting the shop and emailed them to me so I could overlay the pattern on them and Riley could make it as close to how I invisaged it. That one turned out great. So when another friend asked about helping him with getting something like it, I accidentally got sucked into the idea of making a backup copy, but with an even more movie-accurate leather. One thing led to another and I ended up in touch with a leather supplier here in Australia. He said he had somehting identical, but only in BLACK, which was a bummer. But he was a really nice old guy and he wanted to send me samples so I said sure. Well I was stunned when I opened the envelope because they were awesome. They were black...but not. They just vibed the desert scenes crazy-close. I HAD to have a jacket made from these. So I flew to the place, spent hours sorting through the hides they had left of the stuff, and picked out a bunch that matched the movie. I then got into super-neurotic mode (again), and went frame by frame looking for grain. I mapped the whole jacket. I then used my existing jacket to make a pattern from and traced it onto the hides so Riley would know where to cut to be dead-on to the movie. Took me days just to figure it all out and make the right decisions. Then I really started fine tuning the details. Working out where to depart from the Nowak 000/888 jacket. Anyway, sent all the stuff to Riley and there you have it. I'm STUNNED at the result. It kind of floors me each time I look at it, or put it on. I mean, I know it doesn't turn me into Harrison Ford or anything, but man, when I look at it in the mirror, it's like seeing a REAL slice of the movie. Like, do you know when you put any item of gear on, you have to rationalise a little bit to convince yourself it's the same? I know I have always done that. Well with this jacket, that isn't happening. Once the dusting went on and I held it up to look at, it was shocking. A VERY full-on moment that I wasn't prepared for, frankly. Anyway, I'm just raving now so will stop there. cheers guys!

Wow. Just... wow... Could you make me one too?! Well, fyi, I can't MAKE one but I MAY be able to get more leather for those interested. Then you can give it to Riley or Peter or whoever to make one with. It ain't cheap though as it's Italian, and is a pain to get - You're looking at $350 plus delivery for enough to do a jacket plus one or 2 spares. (Delivery from Australia is $100) But if you're interested, just let me know and I'll see if they still have any.

Then you should just sell that jacket to me.
Seriously- it's like you just took the jacket off of Harrison Fords' back! Awesome job sourcing the leather and kudos to Riley for making it!

Nah mate - sorry. I don't have all the gear. Your next project, then. That thing is too damned gorgeous not to be matched with equally SA gear.
