Here are some pics of my Indy shirts. Unfortunately some of the examples will not help as much as I would like for color comparison. However you can get a good look at the details of all of the shirts. Collar, pleats etc. The Magnoli is a White shirt and the Wested has been bleached a few times. The Noel Howard is practically new. I hope these help some of you. Magnoli, Noel Howard, Wested, Old NavyMagnoli, Noel Howard, WestedMagnoli, Noel HowardNoel Howard, WestedNoel HowardWestedMagnoliCheers, G-MANN

Looks great. The NH shirt looks EXACTLY like what I see onscreen. Nice shirt. Is the Magnoli shirt actually white?? Does it come that way, or did you order it in white?? 'Blues

IB,
That's the way I ordered it .
So that I could wear it with my lighter colored Khakis without it looking like I work at the local Zoo.

Great post, G-Mann! I sure do love that Noel Howard. Interestingly enough, the Wested does make a very good "close second". If the shirt was just slightly more fitted, it'd be the ideal second choice. (Notice the reach of the epaulettes across the shoulders. The NH epaulettes are actually smaller but both shirts have the epaulettes starting at the shoulder seam. The NH is more fitted and that makes a HUGE difference.) This is what happens when the product is NOT altered to contemporary standards. You get "THE" screen accurate. ~ And I even like the color. ~ It's great to be able to see the variety of shirts in one fell swoop like this, G-Mann.

Thanks for posting these G-Mann. To be honest I like all of the shirts. I guess as far as the Old Navy shirt goes it's the best "off the rack" color I've seen when it comes to Indy shirts. Maybe it's the lighting but the Old Navy and the Wested seem to be close to the same color. The NH shirt is a little bit darker than I care for but that wouldn't stop me from buying one. The only two things I would change with the Old Navy shirt would be removing the arm pocket and adding the epaulettes.

Very nice shots sir. It's interesting to see how 'flared' the points of the NH collar ar compared with all the others it also seems less full in the chest which probably also helps in the fit. Interesting to see the Magnoli shirt too, it does look a little too dressy. I wonder if ordering a size down on a Wested would help some of the fit issues? It also shows how good the Old Navy is for a close enough, and Harry, if you are very careful and have a very sharp razorblade/scalpel, you can take the sleeve pocket off. (I've done it.) If it goes wrong you're half way to doing a TOD bridge. . It even compares well when it comes to wrinklyness.

It's an interesting illusion isn't it? The way the NH looks so off-color when compared to the shades of white the other shirts keep showing up in. Except for the color-corrected shirt in the Cairo scene on Sallah's balcony, the NH is the spitting image, smack on, no question, that's it, color of Indy's shirt. Funny, how the color looks so 'wrong' in comparison to the many shades of white.

This is, yet another great comparison tool for people considering which shirt to buy. Your Magnoli shirt looks like version # 2, which has some improvements over the first round, which mine is. They are too dressy, cut-wise, but do soften up more with time. I agree that the Wested is the best second place shirt, if they could get the color closer to the real thing (NH). I originally had my Magnoli shirt the exact same color as the Old Navy one, with my first dye mixture. After getting the actual Indy shirt in hand.... the Noel Howard, I totally saw the difference and exactly how that shirt looked in all the different scenes of the movie. I then re-dyed my Magnoli to match (as close as possibl) the NH. The thing about it seeming too dark is comparing it to the Cairo scenes. But, a lighter colored shirt appears white outdoors, where the actual shirt color looks exactly like it did on film in the sun. I have been slowly removing all my old gear shots from my personal page, to reflect the new... accurate shirt color in them. Great job John.... and very helpful as well , Ken

I know what you mean about the color's authenticity, RB. It makes me wince everytime I read that someone has "stripped" and redyed their NH to be more screen accurate. KT, that safari shirt, although a nice shirt to explore around in, thanks, has a very yellow hue. Wested on the right.

But boy is it BIG! LOL You could make pleats from the left over tails.

G-mann, thanks for posting that. It's quite interesting to see the different colour comparisons. Some time ago, I took some pictures comparing my three shirts, but never actually got around to posting the pics. I may post my pictures in this thread, if that is okay with you.
