does anyone here have an indy jacket from flightjackets.com? they look pretty good, they can make them in horsehide as well. I have read some of the customer comments on their site and they seem very favorable.
this may be another horsehide contender for me, since USwings dropped their horsehide legend jacket. now it's wested vs. flightjackets.com. i can't argue with usa made, but then i have read that the wested custom mades are way, way better quality than their off the rack jackets, granted they flub the orders now and then, but i just wanted to know who has a jacket from flightjackets.com and what they think about the product.

I don't know about Flightjackets but Marc Kitter has a custom Horsehide Wested that he is very happy with.
Cheers, John

Well, if nobody knows, then maybe you could get one anyway. Sort of blaze a trail. If you don't like it, then you can either ask for a refund or sell it off. Steven

well, i could, but the horsehide jacket is custom made, so no refunds. but i'll have to give them diagrams on how i want the adjustment straps done and such because flight jackets does theirs differently from what the pictures on their site indicate, i like the straps more like wested's, with the x-box stitching.

I just received my 'Expedition' Indy jacket from Gibson & Barnes. One word describes it 'awesome'. I had to call Amy at G&B and thank her for a spectacular piece of workmanship. The fit is great, plenty of room, sit's nicely on the shoulders and arm length is where it should be, past the wrist toward the palm. The quality of leather (goatskin) is solid, more durable than 'the other guy' which I have owned to date (Wested). I like the darkest version of brown, as seen in the movie, and this color pleases me completely. Also, it is made to take a beating and will live with me for decades. To all who are considering a G & B - you will not be disappointed. Your level of satisfaction will far exceed the level of apprehension the price may have caused during the time you convinced yourself to order. Only problem is...My wife won't let me take it out of the box until christmas!!! Thanks G & B

I bought a custom A-2 from FlightJacket. It is one of the best I've ever bought. I thought about getting my Indy jacket from them, but wanted the Wested thing...BTW, customer service at Flightjacket is fantastic!!!

Flightsuits/G0bson & Barnes is not the same company as "Flightjacket".. which is the company this thread was started about. I'm sure the response was a simple misunderstanding regarding the two companies... and as a G&B/Flightsuits Expedition owner myself... I can understand the excitement over such a nice jacket causing the confusion. Ken
