leather jacket , (I dont think i'll be getting a wested after seeing all those f**ed up orders . .and the pound is sky high as it is ) Really!! I have to look into some Aldens before they go up again then! I think Wested "problems" are over reported. But you have other options open to you.

Kt, I agree. The people that have problems are the ones that make the most noise. Westeds are gret jackets and are a real bargin compared to other jackets.

Wested makes mistakes, just like anyone else. However I think they are the exception, not the rule. My jacket came exactly as ordered, in just over four weeks.
I certainly wouldn't rule them out as they make a great jacket and in spite of the current value of the Pound it's still a good value.

Kt, I agree. The people that have problems are the ones that make the most noise. Westeds are gret jackets and are a real bargin compared to other jackets. But in some cases rightly so. We have 2 esteemed members here who have colour matching problems. That should not happen. Yes, leather is a natural material and colour does vary slightly from batch to batch. But we expect the variance, if any, to be small. The ones I'm talking about is the people who ask for black rectangular sliders (when there's not been any for months), and silver zippers (I don't think I've ever seen one), and are surprised when they don't appear. However, Wested sells something like 15 Indy jackets a week and the vast majority seems to be fine.

Dirk, Your gear is looking good I have bought 2 jackets from Wested with no real problems. I had to wait a while the one time because they were out of the Dark brown goatskin which was no big deal. The only other thing was they left off the X-box stitching also no big deal as far as I was concerned. Certainly nothing worth ranting about. Even though I have become an Expedition fan, you just can't beat Peter's price and he makes excellent products. Cheers, G-MANN

Wow, I can't believe how straight the sides on your hat are The hat and gear are looking good though. Maybe I missed this but is that a NH shirt or a Wested and who made the pants?

The gear is looking great Dirk! That AB has some super straight sides on it too! The only thing I would say about that is, roll the edges of your brim up to give the hat a little more shape. Otherwise.... it looks sweet! That and what Tone recommended about the sleeves and you are ready to roll my friend. Congrats on being near the end of your gear journey, but no near the end of your money. Ken

I surely didn't mean to imply that your hat didn't look great as is. I was just offering a tip for you to try, that's all. I think the brims look better with some extra shaping to them, though I can certainly understand it being stiffer when new.
Looks good!
Ken

Dirk, I wouldn't recommend using steam, either. You can get a regular spray bottle filled with water, and lightly mist the area you want to shape. It's very easy, and alot less chance of doing any harm to your hat, like hot steam would. 'Blues
