Hey everyone. Sorry it's been a while since I've posted on here, but I was wondering: Does anyone know if there is a laptop bag out there that someone sells, which looks similar to Indy's bag (the Mk VII) with a similar strap/buckle, only slightly bigger? I've got a 15 inch mac-book pro and it just wont fit in my Mk VII. I've searched the web, but only found leather, "rugged" bags that don't really look anything like Indy's I apologize if there is a thread for this somewhere already, but I didn't see one. Thanks in advance! -Dan

The obvious solution... Is to buy a Solid State Drive (SSD) netbook small enough to fit in your Mk VII. IMO, any other kind of computer would not be adventure-worthy. Of course, you might want to bring your big MacBook with you. In that case, I know there was a thread on COW about this, back when I browsed those forums. Steven

I think there is, I've seen people post bags that can hold your laptop. There are some threads in COW covering this very topic. If I can find something, I'll show you.

You could always go custom-made, though. Maybe Magnoli could do it. Perhaps he could include "laptop-ready" as an option. Just keep in mind the things Indy might've gone through. There's always the danger of dropping your laptop and ruining the hard disk. That's why I suggested using an SSD Netbook for adventures. Solid State Drives are more durable than hard disks, even though they have a smaller capacity. Then, of course, there's always the Rugged Laptop.I might get either one to put in my Mk VII someday. Steven The only adventure I'll be doing with my laptop is commuting to and from work with it. It's a work laptop that I need for my job. I just hate the boring standard looking bags for laptops that everyone has. If I ever need a computer for a real adventure (kind of a contradiction if you ask me, lol) I'll consider a SD drive netbook, etc. for my Mk VII. I went to look on COW but I forgot you need to be a member to see any threads there. I created an account, but I'm in the "pending approval" stage so I can't do anything. ugh...

You could always go custom-made, though. Maybe Magnoli could do it... Well, I took your advice and I asked Magnoli if it could be done. And there's good news and bad news. First, the good news: He said he can probably do it if I gave him the specs, which I did. The bad news is, he said it'd be pricey since it is a custom made piece... He said he wouldn't know exactly how much until he gets all the materials, but it'd likely be in the 100-200 range Oh well, at this point, I think I'd spend that much just to get a really good authentic looking bag

If that's what you want, then so be it. I know I want an accurate Stembridge, but the only one who makes it is Artsee1, and his isn't close enough for me. I'd spend $1,000+ for a real S&W converted to a Stembridge if I have to, but hopefully, it won't have to come to that. I've found this site called TMB Custom Models, while browsing sites that make precisely made custom-made models who could theoretically make a model of the Lost in Space Movie Robot. They've made a model of a Colt .45 Revolver (presumably cannot even simulate gunshots), and I might ask them to make a Stembridge. Of course, that'll be in the far future, as I need to get a job first. Steven
