By the way guys, I received my boots from this seller and I want to confirm that they are, in fact, the huskers.

Dirk, I'll fight you! And Dwight is too soft-hearted! But at least he has the right outlook!

That's good news, Gonsolo! How do you like them? I can't believe how well made these boots are. I am going to order another pair. The only thing that bothers is they are a bit stiff towards the top of the boot. I just have to break them in. Oh and the laces have to go. Great bargain nonetheless.

Man that's good to hear! Glad you like them. Only takes a day to break them in. If you can stand the ankle cutting for a few hours by tomorrow they'll be really comfy!
The red or yellow tag on the sole peels right off, also. Just run your fingernail or something under it.

Boy, it looks like this thread has gone to the dogs! I never thought to ask this before but are the Huskers water proof?

Hey, at those bargain prices.... just order both sizes! Ken Well, they only have or had the 12D so that's one of the reasons I didn't want to risk spending even that amount on a pair of boots from EBay that might not fit and then I can't return them. They have 13D in other boots just not the Huskers. I've found a few other pairs of boots online that to me look close enough but are more expensive.....they don't have the moc toe like the Alden's but that's not a big deal. My top priority right now is figuring out the whole cash thing with the rabbit AB. The boots are going to have to wait.

Boy, it looks like this thread has gone to the dogs! I never thought to ask this before but are the Huskers water proof? I haven't put them to the test yet but they sure look like it. Very functional. The bottom of the boot reads "Slip/Oil Resistant" and the heel has a "shock absorber."

I was kidding, of course, about buying both sizes. It's always nice when something you have wanted for a while, suddenly becomes available for 1/2 price! Ken
