Here are the Diangelos. They are well made and I had speed hooks put on them, cost me ten bucks!! Cobbler tells me they are cowhide, but have a smooth finish over the leather. The distress look will come with wear unless you want to hit a wire brush to them. Total cost...$110. SAVED $340 instead of Aldens. Perhaps in the future for them! img707.imageshack.us/i/img1278wy.jpg/

I have a pair of Todd's Outdoorsman Boots. For the money, they are pretty darn good. They aren't as good as Aldens, but they are worth the money IMO. I've had mine for 10 or 11 months, but I haven't worn them everyday, so they aren't well broken in. If you wear them often, I hear you will need to resole them somewhat quickly. Aldens are much better, lasting many years. I heard someone who has been wearing them for 11 years. But for your budget, I'd say go with the Todds. Can you resole Coyles Boots as they’re not Goodyear welted? But does anyone know why they’re not stocking boots now?
