Dear folks, we’ve made well process during the last month in manufacturing Adventurebilt Deluxe fedoras and already shortened the wait times for new orders. We have actually made such a good process, that we currently run low on brown sweatbands. Of course, new ones are already being prepared, but as you can imagine, the manufacturing takes some time. It looks like we will have some idle time during November and will use this month for renovations and also for works on grey and black hats. If you have an AB hat that could use a reblock and renovation, this is a good stage to send them in before winter hits the northern hemisphere. For all folks who already ordered an ABD from us and still waiting, please drop me a line if you can consider changing your order to a black or grey ABD instead of a brown fedora. The lead time would decrease instantly to a couple of weeks. As a general info, I’m glad to inform you that our lead time for new orders is approx. 12 month Yours, Stefan

Why not just make brown hats with black sweatbands?

I wouldn't want a brown hat with a black sweatband... that wouldn't look good at all.

you know what they say, Black and Brown make a frown Then, apparently, the ribbon on Indy's hat is a frown. ;D I guess really nice and dressy black sweatbands on brown fedoras would be some sort of contrast. The image I had in my head was a more rugged-looking black sweatband, which would give the hat a sort of more modern look, which is undesirable, however cool it would be. Steven

Steven The ribbon on Indy's hat isn't black. It's actually a very dark brown. Almost black.

It's called Black/Brown, and I've seen pics of the ribbon up close, and it looks like a pattern between black and brown. That's what I was talking about.

Understood. I just wanted to make it clear that the ribbon on Indy's hat is not black.

Hello Michael- just to let you know, the Adventurebilt Deluxe and Adventurebilt are basically seperated. If you ordered from Steve, he is the only one that can help you with your order. Stefan works with Marc in Germany on the Adventurebilt Deluxe.
And just so you know- 3 years is not an uncommon wait time for a hat from Steve. So I would not be worried just yet.

Here's my nearly 4 years old ABD in the Egyptian desert. We had a horseback ride from a farm near Saqqara into the desert and back but the light was already very low when we started to take pictures, My ABD has been with me in Egypt for a year now and I loved to wear it on any trips outside of town. It came with me to most destinations in Egypt including Siwa Oasis, White and Black desert, Aswan, Sinai and many more places. One time I even had to put it in my suitcase where it was squeezed for 12 hours. Shame on me for that but it was very simple to get it back in shape. But for sure it will get some work once I'll be finally back in Germany in mid September. Marc and I were trying to keep up the work over the past year and with me in Egypt and him becoming a father, it was definitely a challenge for our Adventurebilt venture. The more I'm exciting to get back to the workbench together with Marc. Best Regards, Stefan
