I've found a pair of very accurate Indy Gloves. They're goatskin, and accurate in every way except for the ACE stamp on the wrist, which shouldn't be too big of a problem. This is the cheapest place you can get them.Steven

Hi guys!
I am thinking of buying the Indy shirt and pants from Wested Leather, in the UK. Do you think they are a good option (high quality and screen-accurate)? Any feedback from someone who's bought them?
Otherwise, who would be the best supplier for those two items? And at what price?
Thanks a lot!

I'm not a huge fan of the shirt from Wested, but then, they have changed the design and fabric used since they made the one I own, and the new ones aren't so bad I've heard... The pants are great! Among the best I own... Although you will need to shorten them and get them tailored to your correct leg length..
The best pants I've worn are the Todds Costumes ones..(85 dollars) They are the best out there...No doubts at all. The shirt? Well....Apart from Azuma's ones, Magnoli is the best option, although slightly higher in cost....(115 dollars) Both of those would make the best combination you could get, but slightly more expensive than the Wested ones.... If you only have enough for the Wested price range, they'll be the best you can get in a combination like that, and more than close enough to pass for Indiana Jones anywhere!
If you have the funds, I'd suggest Todds Costumes trousers and the Magnoli shirt...
Regards..

fifthchamber said it pretty well. Although I highly recommend Azuma's shirts. He is working on a batch of Raiders shirts that hopefully will be coming out soon. I believe they are like $65 but well worth it.

Absolutely.....Azuma's shirts will beat most anything else out there for both comfort and design...His are WELL worth keeping an eye out for, and as Nick says, the Raiders shirt will be in production soon I think...Entirely worth the price (Which is also exceptional for what you get)..
His Last Crusade shirt is my favourite....

Yup- after getting an Azuma LC shirt I sold off most of my other shirts- including a Noel Howard. They are just that great.

Hi JNicktem and Fifthchamber!
Thanks very much for your most useful replies, guys! I will follow your advice, since I know it comes from some hardcore Indy fans!
Incidentally...I had a Herbert Johnson fedora and a Western Props bullwhip for years, but I sold them a few months ago to go for screen accuracy! I had never been entirely satisfied with the look of the HJ hat (even if of great quality), or with the colour/design of the whip. Regarding the HJ hat, I think what disappointed me is that they sold me one off the shelf, and they never gave it the so distinctive and unique 'Raiders' block and shaping that I so much wanted!
I have recently ordered a Raiders whip from Classicwhips.com and a Raiders hat from John Penman. I can't wait!
If my Pay Pal funds can be stretched a bit more, I will try and go for the Azuma or Magnoli shirts, and the Todds trousers! I suppose these companies are easy to be found online? Just Google them and they'll appear?
One more thing:
I don't know much about Todds Costumes. Is all the Indy stuff they sell good and accurate? I know that the whips are inexpensive, but just good for costume-purposes. But how about the 'Raiders' HOLSTER, the LEATHER BELT, and the SATCHEL (BAG)? Are they worth buying? Good quality?
Thanks very much!
Ismael
P.S: Ben, what is Indy doing in the empire of the sun?

Magnoli Clothiers has a website. Although Azuma is just an Indy fan- so you have to contact him by email.
As for Todd's costumes- they are nice products for the price. Just remember you get what you pay for. You done good by getting a Raiders hat from John Penman.

Summed up rather well by Nick.....
Todds do the trousers excellently, and while not perhaps "high quality", his jackets are decent for the price too..I have a holster, and like it enough, although my Wade Egan does tend to overshadow it rather heavily....But it's above average "costumer" gear for sure..Decent stuff at cheap prices, and well worth the money...
I'd disagree with some here about the "universal goodness" of Todd's gear, but on the whole it is an excellent starting point!
As Nick says, you did good with the Penman...It's the best hat I've owned, and the one I love the most....And that alone should say enough about what I think of John and his products...Crazy good gear..
Magnoli is wonderful too, although you'll need to be sure about your sizings if it's the first order... All his stuff is lovely, but costly since it's all tailored for the individual...But bloody good work it is...(Although if you get the size right, an Azuma shirt beats a Magnoli shirt....They are exceptionally good clothes...)...
As for what I'm doing in the land of the rising radiation? Well, I came here to train in classical Japanese martial arts, and am still doing so...Having already thrown in 8 years here and some 9 or so in the U.K.....I guess that'll do for the "reason"...LOL..Sadly no treasure found just yet...But I do keep hoping...
Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Gold...
Rings nicely for me....LOL

Thanks again, Nick and Ben! Wow...I'm getting some very good tips in this forum! I've never been to Japan, Ben...but what you're doing sounds really appealing. I love the Far East as a whole, though, and I am planning to relocate to Hong Kong from the UK within a couple of years or so. Originally from Spain; thirteen years living in London (UK)...and now in search of Lao Che! Fortune and Glory. All the best, and thanks again!

I'd like to chime in and say that Todd's pants are the best I've seen by far. I've owned Magnoli's, Wested's, Noel Howards, and Todd's is my hands down favorite.

Todd's are easily the best trousers....Yeah...My Magnoli's aren't as comfortable, although the design is still as close... Todd's for the win there..
And yeah, I'm from London... Camden Town actually.. Born and bred... But I came to Tokyo 8 years back or so for martial arts and have stayed rather well focused on them since then... I'm not certain I'll ever be home to live, but I'll be back for a visit sometime this year or so I hope.. When I do I'll let ya know and buy you a couple of pints and a talk eh? Would be good to meet some Indy fans in my hometown!
Warm regards..

Thanks again, Ben.
Yeah, please be in touch whenever you're about to visit London and we'll go for a couple of pints. Hopefully, by then, I would have received my Penman hat and the Classic Whips' bullwhip...and I'll be able to show them to you.
Who knows, maybe I would have ordered the Todds pants and Azuma/Magnoli shirt too!
It'll be nice to have a chat about Japan too!
Thanks again for everything! We'll be in touch.
