I re-dyed my Magnoli shirt to match the Noel Howard shirt. After using Rit Color Remover and stripping it back down to the original "Ecru" color, I used a new combination of dyes. One package of Rit "Taupe" and half a package of Rit "Pearl Grey", and dunking/swishing the shirt for maybe 10 seconds or so. When it came out of the wash, it was exactly the same color as the Noel Howard shirt. Since drying, it is very, very close... and will make a wonderful "stand in" second shirt. NH on left - Magnoli on right Indoors - No Flash - White Balanced Corrected: NH on left - Magnoli on right Outside - No Flash - Auto Sunlight Correction: I'm passing this info on, because I believe this formula would also work very well on any white or off white shirt as well. You might dunk it for 15 seconds or so instead, keeping in mind that it will look very much darker at first. Before you wash it, it will be alot darker than you need it to be, but much more Indy afterward. Hope this helps somebody, Ken

Nice work, RagingBlues. You have taken a Magnoli and turned it into a Wested, basically. (Colorwise, I mean.) Honestly, the Wested is very close to the NH. That Magnoli looks good here. The collar and epaulettes aren't the same as the pleats running down the shirt, but if they were, that'd be a real-close dead ringer for an NH. Still, for a stunt shirt, you couldn't tell the difference here. NICELY DONE! So it's Taupe and Pearl Grey to pull this off. Should be a sticky in the "how to" section. I'm not downplaying the Magnoli shirt here. It looks really good! He's very close on these.

Dirk, Honestly? I would really consider the Wested. I know that Magnoli has made some improvements in his design, and his "Stone" color would be the one to order without a doubt. But, talking with a few people here that have a Wested, Magnoli, and the Holy Grail.... a Noel Howard; If you can't afford a NH, the Wested is the next closest in terms of feel, weight, and the look. Please ask Tone, G-Mann, and Canyon (I think), before you make a purchase. I wouldn't want you to "not" have all the information available. Ken

You said a good pic. Well Here is a pic but not in the best of lightng conditions. NH & Wested Wested Now in my opinion the Noel Howard is THE Indy shirt. NO DOUBT ABOUT IT. The Wested is a close second and a good deal for the price. Cheers, G-MANN

Dirk, I'm certainly not saying that the Magnoli is a bad shirt by any means... and the latest version is better than mine. If you go that route, definitely get his "Stone" color. But, I have heard (as you now have as well), from several people around here, that the Wested is softer and more comfortable. The design of both is short of the NH, but if you are saving money... comfort is quite important to me! Ken
