The washed goat is a matte and pretty unsaturated colour ie it's quite grey, but does do a good impression of the dusty desert sequences.
From my own experience, Wested's colours are kinda like Authentic Brown is sort of a milk chocolate colour and Dark Brown is more like dark chocolate if that makes any sense.

Just to prevent more confusion, Authentic Brown and Dark Brown are both dark shades of Brown, the Dark Brown is just darker.

They continually get new leathers in. Give them a call... always good to talk to Peter himself. Course... note the time difference!

"It's time to ask yourself, Dr Jones, what do you believe?" Remember that in most shots here Ford is sort of in an action pose so the jacket is brought higher on his torso. It also seems that the jacket used in the old man's house may be slightly longer. My own feelings...Measure from the nape of the neck to 1" below the top of your back pockets standing straight. Get someone to measure you, this is a very hard measure to get right yourself. If you are going for SA you have to have Indy pants! If not and you want to go day to day then wear your normal trousers. I would err on the side of caution and measure slightly long. A too short jacket is harder to live with then a too long one.

thanks Kt. Templar, youve been a good help. now one more question. do you have any ideas on darkening leather? just by a few shades or so? You are very welcome, it helps me get things more set im my mind too! Normal leather, that has the shiny topcoat, is very hard to darken. The naked leathers like washed goat and novapelle and antiqued will take pecard and darken up well. But the darkening fades back out within a few weeks. Have a look at fedoraraiders distressing... it's surprising what a bit of dust will do.

and the custom rola is already 80s cut, true?

It's narrower cut with higher armholes and narrower sleeves. It has most of the commonly asked for mods. BTW here's a couple of pics of my Temple of Doom to show how much ride up a jacket can show just with a different stance.

I was wondering Wested shows 28 as the longest back length, they can do longer? And when they ask for back length, is that the total or from the bottom of the collar?

JC 28" is already seriously long for a indy jacket. However, there was one guy who had one made as a 3/4 length coat and that was something like 32" or so. But it may have to be in cow to get a big enough skin. They will do it, but I think it would take a call.
You could try skyping them?

Thanks KT, but I'm 6'3-6'4", so I figured 28 since the last Wested I had, I ordered in a 27 I believe since it was 26.5" from the base of the collar. What do you think? Should I do 27 again or a 28? This was the 44L. Sorry if I'm hijacking this thread.

That looks good to me.
Personally, I don't think you need any more length.
But it's what you are comfortable with is what matters.
