I think I'm more upset with the series finale than I was with KOTCS. That show ended-up being a long con. I feel robbed.

Even though I would have chosen a different route, I think it all came together nicely. I certainly don't feel conned, not with a show as complex as "Lost" anyway. The alternate timeline turned out to be an afterlife waiting room type scenario, which I'm finding that so many people completely misunderstood.
Mind you, I'm not suggesting that you did..... and can understand if you just didn't like the final turns revealed in the plot. I keep reading comments (at online communities) by people that make me wonder if they paid any attention at all, or if they have enough brain cells to watch shows that don't resolve the story in one episode in the first place.

Glad you liked the Promo picture Ken.
I enjoyed the ending very much. So many unanswered questions but thats how Lost goes. But the most important ones were answered.
As Matthew Fox described the ending "Beautiful."
As far as Crystal Skull....I would rather watch ANY episode of Lost again before CS.

I keep reading comments (at online communities) by people that make me wonder if they paid any attention at all, or if they have enough brain cells to watch shows that don't resolve the story in one episode in the first place. Ken I just think the waiting room scenario really should have been a scrapped altogether. They introduced this flash side-ways time line in the last season just to try and throw viewers off by making them think it was a paradox created by the detonation of the bomb. Kind of a cheap trick if you ask me. This had absolutely nothing to do with the original plot line. People use the excuse that this show is about the characters, but they forget it's also about these characters in an extraordinary situation. The series kept such a following largely in part to the intrigue it created surrounding this mysterious island. The mysteries the writers peppered the series with deserved better resolutions. Now I can appreciate the idea of letting-go, but wouldn't this have made more sense and more of an impact if the characters moved-on in there actual lives, rather than some fantasy life they created on the way to something else. We need character arcs in reality, not an episode of awakenings which was in essence just another recap/highlights/greatest hits montage. If the entire story was meant to be a purgatory/limbo type scenario, this would have made sense, albeit not very interesting. The thing is this idea was introduced in the final season. It's like introducing the murderer in a who-done-it in the last 3 pages of a novel. I really feel like it was a complete cop-out. Heck, the villain of the series wasn't even that evil, at least the way he was written. What threat did he pose to the outside world after he became mortal? All Jack had to do was put the plug back in the tub and Smokey could have been on his way. If anything his death was more out of revenge. Didn't he deserve a chance at redemption as well, kinda like Ben? The whole thing just didn't really make much sense towards the end. I think this last season had two redeeming episodes, "Ab Aerterno" and "Across the Sea". I have fond memories of the previous seasons, but the show ended with lazy writing. One of the worst series finales of all time in my opinion.

Well, I can certainly see where you're coming from... as I wasn't thrilled with how the alternate reality/diagonal flash turned out to actually be scenes from their afterlives. That's the area I had envisioned turning out very differently, yet still working within with the scope and direction of the story. Sadly, they didn't call either one of us for any input on that one! That said, while the ending may have left some people confused, elated, indifferent, or even angry... I think it worked out in many ways. No matter what, they were bound to go a different way than almost anyone expected.... myself included. I certainly liked more about the ending than I disliked. Ken

Different strokes for different folks. I think that after the episode "Across the Sea", the back story of the island, well at least Jacob and his brother, wasn't so black and white. This left room for something much more interesting than just a good versus evil scenario. Heck, I would have even appreciated something more along the lines of the MIB having a Darth Vader moment more so than what we were given. I gave the writers an incredible amount of slack when it came to many of the trivial questions that people wanted answered, because I expected a little bit more of a payoff. Don't get me wrong, I always knew the ending would never live up to the amazing journey we were taken on, but I thought that it would have actually felt satisfying. From now on I'll avoid any other television projects these producers are involved in, because it just isn't worth the commitment.
