Thank you very much guys. That projector actually belongs to my son as well. My next goal is to locate some rubber molding material and clear resin to try and duplicate one for myself and if it turns out good enough for anyone else who might want one. I've done some smaller castings before using those hobby size casting kits and they turned out really good. This one however will require a much larger quantity of casting materials, and that stuff isn't cheap! If anyone out there knows of a quality reliable sorce for these materials, a website would be greatly appreciated.

Someone at the Replica Prop Forum should be able to help you with that info. They are now accepting new members. Here is the Link www.therpf.com/index.phpCheers, John

Great work! If you'll make a run I'm interested How many cm is your skull?

Thanks, The skull is aprox. 37cm from point of chin to point at bcck of skull 14cm wide at the eye sockets. 18cm tall I don't know the exact size of the actual movie prop but judging by the proportions with the actors on screen my skull is just a little smaller. Because the resin materials come in gallon quatities,if it was any bigger at all it would require ordering twice the volume of reisn to reproduce and those suppliers are proud of their product if you know what I mean. If this works out like I hope it will I would like to make these skulls availalbe to anyone in the lounge without costing an arm and a leg. -Dusty

Thanks Noah,
And no I haven't moved forward on that project yet. The more I researched it the more expensive and involved it became. One has to be pretty set up for that type of work. The process can also be bad for your health. I haven't given up I'm just holdin' off.

That's alright. Take your time with it. I can see how it's expensive and involves lots work. And your health is always more important. But what you have now looks really good!

you could always make molds and sell them and let the buyers worry about how they're gonna make the finished product... just a thought.
