USW Indy Zippers

Hey, Guys.
I recently got a Todd's and I'm already looking to upgrade to something a little thicker. I really like the USW Vintage Adventurer Jacket, but I've read some stuff on here about "death zippers" and "razor zippers" in regard to their products. The posts were from '07, but can someone please fill me in on what the zipper problem was and if it's still is a problem?
I'm pretty sure I've got The Ma'am convinced that it's a good idea to drop $400 on a jacket, but I don't want to if it has anything that causes razor death on the closure system.

Us Wings has made a few changes to their jackets over the years. For example the elbow stitch is no longer there, the lining is different and I'm pretty sure they changed the zippers up too. Looking at the pictures of the newer VIP on their website and comparing with mine, I can tell you the zippers look slightly different.

I purchased a new US Wings VIP Adventurers jacket, about two months ago and don't see any issue with the zipper.
If I hadn't read about it, I wouldn't know there ever had been an issue.
