hey guys and dolls. Happy new year to everyone.
Just wanted to keep everyone one in the loop of what's going on with me.
- I have yet had any words on my panama bodies. Waiting for a call back. - I had a little accident at the shop. Had a couple of blocks fall and crack/break - This has caused me to get a new set - I have in the works 5 new hat blocks sets being made - I have a new flange set being made - I'm re-finishing a set of flanges - I also working on 2 hat making tools to make things work a little better for me - I'm working with a couple of companies on getting a really good sewing machine for doing bound edges - I'm working on doing something special with the henry Adventurebilt line of hats - I'm working on setting up a system so people can measure their own heads and be 100% accurate - I have a new batch of ribbon being sent to me. Starting with black first. 1", 1 /38", 1 /58'', and 2'' - I'm hoping to track down different color besides black. - I will be putting into effect of a one day a week will be set aside to do odds and ends IE: re-blocks, panama, hat cleaning, changing out trimmings , etc. This will not slow down any of my lead time but will hopefully speed up re-blocks. It will take a little time to get though all the re-blocks sitting at my shop but in the near future it should be under a month for a re-block.
For the most part very few should be effected by the accident. Those people have been contacted

Thanks for the update! I am sure I speak for a lot of people when I say it is very nice to get such an update from such a busy vendor! It really shows how much you value customer service!
And I am sorry to hear about the accident! That is really too bad.

Ok, guys and dolls. Another update here.
I will from now on when a order is placed will send out a e-mail reply letting the customer know that I have received the order. I will at this point ask for any more information if needed. I will also give an estimated time of when it will be worked on. Again ESTIMATED time I will be working on the hat. I will from now on let everyone place a order without payment. Payment will be needed to be payed in full before I go to work on the hat. I will send a e-mail or phone call asking for payment in full. The only time I will need payment upon order if I need to special order anything.
