just a quick question regarding leather care, i got another jacket used from ebay, it's a cowhide Us Wings that i got for a sweet deal, anyways should i apply pecards to it like once a year just to take good care of it, or only when it needs it, like getting rained on, jumping into river running from hovitos, etc. I think the jacket is a couple of years old, so that's why i am asking, any tips, advise will be useful.

If it looks dry or you want more rain protection, go ahead and treat it now. How often you treat it after that will depend on how quickly it begins to look and feel dry where you live.... and how often you wear it in the rain. Once a year (or longer) might be fine or even twice a year, depending on the above specifics. Some people want jackets to stay new looking as long as possible, while others want to speed up the aged look of it. Too much treating leaves a build up and too little leaves it looking like a dead sea scroll. You'll need to apply some and see how it goes. Ken

I live in Boise which is practically the desert, i want it to age well, which it has some wear, but I want to keep it for a long time and treat it well. I'll probably apply some Pecards to it when I get home, thanks Ken!
