But G-Mann kicked me in the privates and I came to my senses. Always glad to help. ;D Cheers, John

If Wested has patterns they have a slip from LFL so must be able to have a copyright on that pattern. LFL must be know the pattern or have it collected. If you buy Star Wars items they will say LFL somewhere.
Each of my Wested jackets came with a laminated slip saying it was handcut from the pattern. Did Todd owners get any similar paper?
You are lucky Pagey auction the one that wont fit.

You are lucky Pagey auction the one that wont fit. Actually, you can't copyright a piece of clothing. This goes way back and it is supposed to stop someone attempting to copyright say, 'a shirt' and prevent anyone from making 'shirts' any more. The copyright notice refers to the branding IN or ON the garment, usually a logo or graphic or some such. They are protecting their copyright and IP of the branding, eg Star Wars™ or Indiana Jones™. Lucas can prevent anyone for using the words Star Wars or Indiana Jones, there seems to be a grey area where the vendor actually worked on the item for a film and can call it the item from Indiana Jones etc... However, Todd has Indiana Jones scattered all around his site so he may have a cast iron 'fair usage' defense.

So, I just got word that a shrunken lamb version of this new jacket pattern will set you back about £275 or $438 USD. Comparatively speaking, it sounds reasonably priced to me. I assume Peter told you this. Did he say when it would be available?

Peter told me some months ago that he had studied Chris King's jacket, so I would imagine that if he's found a hide he's happy with, it should be available reasonably soon. If that's the price, it doesn't seem bad at all. Especially as Peter said he would add the distressing too. Could turn out to be quite interesting.
Yes, my first TN will go on sale. No point clogging the cupboard.

I'd not heard of any distressing. Seems out of his normal MO.

He said to me he wanted the "hero" jacket to be a perfect replica of the real hero jacket, down to the last scratch. Not sure how serious he was, or whether he was just getting carried away chatting. I guess we'll find out.

The repair work was free although I did pay postage. But, in addition, Tony made me another jacket in a different leather - free of charge. I don't wear the first jacket anymore, it's a little too big on me. The second jacket fits better so I wear that. Would I order from Tony again? Yes. And that free jacket is absolutely beautiful! You should post some pics in another thread of the latest cowhide jacket and see what people think.

He said to me he wanted the "hero" jacket to be a perfect replica of the real hero jacket, down to the last scratch. Then to be a perfect replica it would be the same kind of lambskin leather and measured directly from either the pattern or the movie jacket. From earlier post it will be mix of Todd, Nowakk, and Wested and not the original jacket. WIthout the original or pattern it will take a lot of watching Lost Ark to be exact.

I don't think it's available, but an alternative is U.S. Wings' Legend Jacket in Striated Lambskin. BTW, Welcome to the Lounge! Steven
