Jonathan Ke Quan - better known as Short Round from Temple of Doom - will be making his first ever convention appearance at the Collectormania Midlands show at Birmingham, UK this weekend (April 18th & 19th)!

National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, United Kingdom, then do not hesitate! As far as we know this really is the first time Short Round is attending a convention and who knows when an other chance to meet him will arise!

I was there!
I met him!
it was a FANTASTIC event

plus there were Indy talks on both days, but not all guests could make it on both days

I had a professional photo taken of us together, and he called me "Doctor Jones" as i approached him in full ToD gear. i got a photo signed and also met Kevork Malikyan and had a great chat about filming the speedboat chase

while i was getting into costume i had an encounter with Sonny Landham from Predator
overall it was the best collecto-midlands so far, and they have a new site by using ballroom type halls in a hotel, it was much more compacted but easier to get to the guests

Right at the end of the day, after everyone else had left, i was lost in the hotel after getting out of costume and ran into Ke one last time in the corridoors, and i asked him how did he like seeing himself as a Lego piece in the indy lego game

he hadn't even played it! and wanted to know if they used his voice in the game, so i explained that with all the character speech, the Lego characters have their own language so no words are spoken, he was great to chat to and was great meeting him

Mola Ram scared the hell out of him while filming as amrish Puri stayed in character while off camera, so every time he walked past him he was too scared to go near him or talk to him

I did not see any other Indy cosplayers there on saturday. but couldnt afford to return on the sunday

I will start a new photo thread in the photography section once i get my photos back so keep an eye open on friday afternoon
