Thanks to Ragingblues, I have finally made a great replica of the temple map at the beggining of Raiders. It is not absolutly screen accurate but it is very close in my opinion. Sorry about the blurry pics! How I made it: Fisrt I printed out the map files that I recieved from Ragingblues in black and white. Then I cut it out and soaked it in coffee grounds to give it the aged color. Next I burned some of the edges and the I let it dry and got this: without flash img220.imageshack.us/img220/7673/map1t.jpgwith flash img220.imageshack.us/img220/4010/map2i.jpgIn-D

I got the same map file from Ken as well. How'd you get it to print on one page? Also what did you frame it on? What kind of background did you use?

I had right clicked on the image and copied and pasted t onto my word program and enlarged it by clicking on it then clicking on one of the corners and pulled it outas large as I could get it. It is not the SA size but it is pretty close to being SA. I framed it in an old silver frame I had laying around. I hope to replace it. In that frame It is just on the frame back. If anyone is interested, I have posted it for sale at the market place.

That's okay, I don't want to take anything away from Ken.

That's okay, I don't want to take anything away from Ken. I didn't make the map files and have never even printed them. I'm just hosting them for people to download for their own use, which was the intention of the original creator... from what I've read. They were sent to me a couple of years ago, so I'm just passing them along the same way. I had to take the links out of the thread because people were posting the links to my server space on other forums. I don't mind helping people get what they need (that's part of why we exist anyway). But, I don't care to have my bandwidth stolen by people that aren't visiting Indy Lounge to get it. Ken

I look at it the same way. I have been looking for the right map replica for a long time and I am greatful to you Ken. But it should stay within this forum.

In-D No, I could care less what you do with the map, since it's yours. I was referring to the links to the images on my server space. The links to hosted material should be gotten from the community they were posted in, not hotlinked elsewhere. If I make those kinds of things public, people from other forums post them at that forum. Then, people there download it like crazy and could care less that the link was put there without my permission. I may not be the creator, but in this case, I am the host. If someone else wants to host it and allow people to go nuts downloading anywhere else, that's their business. The map is yours to do with as you please, IMO. I'm just glad I could help out. Ken

How do you print the map? What I mean is soaking it in coffee fades and runs the ink so how do you do it? My first one came out very cool but the ink was so faded you could hardly see it. How did you guys do it? I want to throw my thanks in as well for posting this. It's fun to make props and much more fun than buying them.

jameth,
sorry I haven't gotten back to you. I didn't soak it in coffee, I simply rubbed the coffee grounds on it.
