Here is an age old question... that has probably been answered a million times but if I search any more my eyes will bleed.
I am about to order a Wested, and right now I am trying to decide which is best, lamb or goat? I really like the look of GCR's dark brown lambskin jacket, and that is the kind of jacket I want. However, since I plan on having this as my everyday jacket, I don't want something that I will be constantly worried that it is going to rip, tear, or easily become damaged.
Now, I am not saying I will be rolling around on sharp rocks while wearing the jacket or anything, but it will go on the occasional hike through the woods (we have lots of trees around here) and will probably have some branches reaching out to touch it.
Which leather, lamb or goat, is less likely to tear? Also, in a Wested jacket, which is thicker?
I have a Wested Washed Goat, which I love, but it distresses too easily, and I just feel worried about doing anything while wearing it that might wreck it. So that is why I am looking at getting an everday jacket... so what is your opinions on this? Lamb... or goat?
