Hi all,
been some weeks since I was on here, still trying to figure out how to upload pics.
If anyone is interested I now own two Wested Raiders style jackets.
First one in Washed Goat, size 44 off the peg: cotton body/satin sleeves.
Second one is Authentic Brown Lambskin, 44 custom: all satin inside, secondary inside pocket, both inside pockets have zippers.
Name on label says: Henry Walton Jones Jr.
Did that just for kicks!
Both are REALLY REALLY great, fit awesome, feel great, and both look fantastic!
The Washed Goat is perfect, but I've been wearing the Authentic Brown Lambskin around mostly.
Thanks to everyone who gave me advice before ordering....
The authentic brown is nice and dark, but not black looking. A really nice dark chocolate color and for lambskin its pretty heavy and solid.
Looks (to me anyway) very screen accurate.
Also, by the way, I have absolutly no problem turning the collar up for that Temple Scene look at the begining of Raiders.
Together w/ my AB fedora I think its a great look. As I'm writing this I'm sitting in my local mall wearing my AB fedora, Lambskin jacket hanging on the side of the chair and have my Mark VII w/ necessary equipment inside.
I also carry a portable garment bag that folds and zips up just incase it starts to rain and I have to qickly protect the fedora.
Also, by the way, I ordered a pair of Wested Pants and they look and feel perfect.
Love the material and color and fit.
I usually wear a size 38 and ordered a size 40 and they fit perfect for anyone whose interested.
I also found a few sets of really nice, larger, brown buttons at Joanne Fabrics to replace the smaller buttons that the pants came w/.
Unfortunatly the buttons on the pants varied in color and I felt were too small.
So I looked and was relaly happy and found a bunch at Joanne's that will work really well....
