Check out the "Honest" Indy 4 Trailer: www.toplessrobot.com/2009/02/the_honest_indiana_jones_4_trailer.phpHad they shown this one before the movie came out, it might have saved many of us the price of admission. Having only seen this movie the one time, this trailer was the only chance I've had since May 22nd 2008, to see some of the ridiculous scenes in Indy 4. Man, it really reminds me how much I was really let down by that movie. Ken

They should have used the laugh tracks and additional sound effects in the actual film. I consider it an improvement.

I used to think CS was okay. Of course, once I was revealed to things about it from the negative comments of my fellow Loungers, all I could see about CS was the bad spots opened up to me by my fellow loungers. I don't like it now as much as I used to. Steven

I saw Raiders of the lost ark when i was a kid and it captured my imagination and Indiana Jones stuck with me the rest of my life LOL ;D after that I saw Temple of Doom and Last Crusade a 100000 times then when I heard THEY!!! were making Indy4 I was so excited I could hardly wait to see it Then I saw it let me say I'm definitely not an Indy hater but what those two did was RIDICULOUS!!! To me it seems scents the mid90's thought now Hollywood keeps making the most hair brained plots and using CG for everything never leaving the studio. So that's what they did to Indiana Jones the only thing I liked about Indy4 was Ford wearing Indys costume again . As far as the plot and story of Kotcs they could of took out Indy and replaced him with Laura Croft and the plot would still would of been a LAUGH ;D ;D ;D it didn't fell like Indian Jones at ALL no action no feel at all . I'M NOT A INDY HATER

Let me interpret what we're trying to say: Kingdom of the Crystal Skull doesn't feel like an Indy movie. The whole reason people watch Indiana Jones is because of the classic Indy qualities from the first three films. CS didn't have those qualities: no whip action, no gunfiring, no classic "Indy in a situation about to die until a sheer coincidence gets him out of it" scenes. CS feels more like a modern-day alien movie, like Race to Witch Mountain. I still think the 80's was the golden age of Movie Special Effects. I'm always fascinated at all of the different techniques that they used for Special Effects in the 80's movies. But nowadays, everything is CGI, and it's not as great as people think it is. For example, no matter how much work they put into making every detail accurate to a real lion, I can still tell the difference between the CGI Aslan from The Chronicles of Narnia and a real lion. Sometimes CG is completely necessary to create believable environments that are too expensive to make, other wordly creatures, or even talking lions that interact with people in the real world. It's a powerful tool that must be used correctly to be effective, and often times... it isn't.
In many cases, the best CG effects completely work, and the viewer never even thinks about them. I could list a number of examples of what I believe to be excellent CG work as part of a story. However, I don't believe KOTCS received top notch CG work at all. Mind you, I'm not saying that better CG would have saved it.... not by a long shot.
Rather than list all the things I didn't like about KOTCS once again, it's much easier to list the one positive I came away with; Harrison Ford was in great shape for his age. That's it. I thought every other writing, directing, or production decision was totally wrong for an Indiana Jones movie.
Let's all continue to hope that better creative and production decisions will be made for Indy 5.
Ken

You didn't like the marriage at the end? I thought that was the best thing about CS, Indy marries the very first girl. Steven
