Hey,
Anyone here order or hear anything about Wested's ToD jacket? There's been a whole bunch of talk about on COW, but noone here has even mentioned it...

Huh, I would've thought that this post should've elicited a response by now...Is no one here interested in the new ToD jacket, or just have no experience with it?

I do know about the two current attempts at putting out a new TOD jacket [Wested & Wings]. One member here was one of the first to receive one of them . However he has not posted pics or a review about it.
That's about all I can state on the topic.

Hmmm, I wonder if it's the same person who was the first to receive his jacket on the other site...pics I've seen so far look good, but I was hoping to see more people's fits, and also hear their reviews...

Yep John, that's the one. Since there has been a bit of discussion about fit, esp. in the upper arms, I've ordered a 40R & a 42R with the hopes that one will fit me correctly. The other one will most likely be for sale right after I try both on...

Yeah, KT is a big help -- we were PMing back and forth a bit about this jacket. He's almost as good as having an "inside man" at Wested! Stay tuned, I'll try to post pics of the jacket(s) when I receive them. I placed my order 2 weeks ago, so hopefully it will only be a few more weeks til they arrive...

John, Thanks. I think I have a good chance, since I also asked for a bit more in the shoulder-to-elbow of the sleeves. This has been the only major criticism of the jacket, and I had a similar problem with the 80's fit 40R that I used to own a few years back. So hopefully one will fit perfectly, and the other I can sell to someone brand new without a wait time, or shipping from the UK. As long as someone around here is either a 40 or 42R, that is...  ~Jace |

Hard to say for sure -- when Peter made his announcement about the no more washed goat, he also made a comment about having some dark goat he could use. So I requested that my jackets be made of the dark brown goat. I then emailed Gemma to ask if there was any problems with my order, and she replied that she would let me know if any came up. Just 2 days ago, I emailed her to get a rough estimate as to when I could expect shipment, and she replied that they were waiting on the shipment of AUTHENTIC BROWN GOATSKIN, which should be in by the end of next week. So it doesn't look like I'll be getting the DB goat as I wanted, but I don't think that I want the Auth. goat either. So I may change one or both over to DB lamb or washed goat -- I'll have to think on it...

I have an email in to Peter -- if I don't get a reply, or if I don't get the reply I'm hoping for, then I may just change both over to the washed goatskin...

Well, I got a reply today from Gemma that she has spoken with Peter, and that he does indeed have the dark brown goatskin for my jackets. She is now making this change to my order. So hopefully this will shorten the wait time as well, since the DB goat is already on hand...

Good to hear. I was told they were getting in authen. goat this weekend...but I guess Gemma told somebody else that they have to wait another 7-10 business days? Maybe if I'm lucky, she'll email me telling me that it's in. But I'd rather not be troublesome.
