Here's the official logline: In the early days of the Marvel Universe, Steve Rogers volunteers to participate in an experimental program that turns him into the Super Soldier known as Captain America.

Joe Johnston has a great old fashioned sensibility. I think he's a good choice to tell the tale of an old fashioned hero like Captain America. I thought he did a great job with The Rocketeer and Hidalgo. I am of course assuming that at least some of the movie will focus on Cap's WWII origins. I wish they'd reenact the famous comic cover with him punching a shocked Hitler.

I think that will work. After all, Wild, Wild West was such a really, really good movie.

Cap was always my favorite Marvel character so I have some really high expectations for this movie, but I must admit the previews have looked pretty good. Anything has to be better than the low budget Captain America movie from the 1990 with Ned Beatty in it.

The only thing I actually liked about the 1990 Captain America is Ronny Cox playing the president. He was a really good choice for that role. The movie was really lame, unfortunately.

Now that they are showing more previews, I am getting really anxious to see this movie. I like that Tommy Lee Jones is in it, he is one of my favorite actors.

I saw Captain America this evening and I loved it!!! My only complaint was I didn't get enough! It was very fast paced. It didn't quite feel like 2 hours. I guess I was too busy enjoying it. I don't want to post any spoilers, but it was awesome! I am a little partial to Captain America in the first place, so my viewing might have been slightly tainted. ;D Go see it, 3D or 2D (I was "forced" to see it in 2D), it doesn't really matter. If you do go stay to the end, after the credits. They've done something that hasn't been done, to my knowledge, since Back to the Future: Part II. I hope you guys and gals go see it so we can start the discussion! -Josh
