That looks like the "Artsee" resin replica. It can also be purchased directly from his website. In addition to the Raiders "Stembridge" replica, he's got an idol, an LC style Webley and a TON of other stuff (mostly batman costume stuff). Here's the link (scroll down a ways to find the Indy stuff) www.artsee1.com/pageslinked/store.htmlAs far as details go, this thing is the absolute BEST option out there, looks-wise (aside from a real S&W HE2). The only major drawback is that it's just a simple resin replica without any moving parts (except for the lanyard, which is the real deal, I believe). The level of detail and distressing on it is very convincing, though.

Yeah..$110. buckaroos for a rubber gun that reminds me of those licorice, candy pistols I ate as a kid..(It does look real from a distance, but you could almost buy the real deal for $100. more online)

Not judging..just observing....
It does look real from the sides..but that front picture makes it look like the licorice gun I had growing up.....I know painting these is hand made, but if the gun was $25. I could see it...
I am sure though, that soon you will see the exact same gun on eBay for about $5. but made in China by little kids in a factory...but it will look sooooo...purtty!!

If you're looking for something to fill a holster or complete a display, then a resin replica is not a bad idea at all. Many folks looking for a good Indy replica go the airsoft route just because the airsofts have the realistic moving parts. Unfortunately, there currently is no airsoft replica available for a S&W HE2. The only replicas for that particular model are the resin replicas. And as far as resin replicas go, the Artsee is the best option out there, due to the paint job and distressing. Granted, it's not perfect, and it IS pricey, but there is another resin Raiders revolver out there for about $30 bucks less. www.westernstageprops.com/miva/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=WSP&Product_Code=IJG2&Category_Code=IJCThis is a replica of the "Bapty" model (the actual shooter, not the "Stembridge" suitcase gun, like the Artsee) and it also comes with a real lanyard. Of course, the detailing and paintjob are not as nice as the Artsee model, but it IS cheaper.

So how lame is it if I just wear the holster with nothing in it at all?
That's the route I was going to go but if you guys have done that and can vouch for having a replica in the holster as a much better experience - I will shell out the $$$.

It's only as lame as you want it to be. You can fill your holster with anything you want, and if that happens to be air, then there's nothing wrong with that. ;D I pretty much did that exact same thing myself for years, as I hadn't been able to find a real S&W that was to my liking (or that fit my price range). Eventually I plan on upgrading to a genuine HE2 that I can have converted to Bapty specs, but in the meantime I picked up an airsoft just to have something for display or for costume or PS pic purposes. (I'll leave the "real gun" duty to my 1911. ) Anyways, if you think you'll actually have some use for a replica, then by all means get one. But if you're just looking to put together an Indy outfit or gear ensemble, then the gun isn't really necessary, as an empty holster should still pull of the look.

Indy went through all of Temple of Doom with no gun in his holster, so I would say it's not too lame to do so. Ken
