Hi everyone, I'm looking for an Indian Jones jacket, is todds costumes a good place to purchase one? I see they have one available that's in my price range of $150. Has anybody bought one from todds? If so how do you like it? Is it good quality or crap? Can it be worn as an everyday jacket or is it more of a costume? Thanks in advance for your help.

I personally don't own one, but I have heard a lot of good things about them. For what I understand, some people believe the leather is very light, giving a costumey feel. However, others wear it on a day to day basis.

I have read that they are pretty good jackets and DEFINATELY have the look. I think they tend to run on the small side though. Welcome to the Lounge. Cheers, John

In leather jackets, like food and alot of other things, you get what you pay for.
I have never held in my own hands a Todd's, but its a $150 leather jacket. It is simply not going to be competitive with a $450 G&B. That being said, I have only heard good things about Todd's, but perhaps you can order a sample for sizing which would allow a closer inspection and examination of such things as leather tanning, stitch work, etc.

::)Yes, I have a Todd's $150.00 jacket. I couldn't be more pleased. However, all I wanted was a light weight leather jacket for the summer. Todd's jacket is SA(screen accurate) but the leather is light. They do run a little small so always order a size larger than you wear. If you want a winter leather jacket then order a Wested Goat or Lambskin but if you want something lighter then order a Todd's.

They don't make tall/long sizes. So if you're tall like me (6'3"), you're pretty much SOL. As the girl there told me, "you can always get our custom." Yeah, for another $350. No thanks!

My Todd's is a pretty nice jacket. More for fall/spring. It IS lightweight, but it is a fairly sturdy hide. I have taken with me when I was exploring an abandoned gold mine near my home. It got a but scuffed in dirt and sharp granite walls/celings. I won't be dragging behind trucks or anything, but I'm proud to wear it daily...(when it cools off enough).

I love my Todd jacket...at first I thought the leather was so light that it was made of tissue paper thin leather..but the more I wear it, the more I like it.
If, you live in very moderate climes like me (SF) it can be worn in almost any weather except over 85 or under 45 degrees. Since it is ave 67 degrees where I am, it is great.
The best thing is that if if gets damaged, you can always buy another..it's that cheap.
There are a few "made to order"Indy jackets on eBay but they are made in Asia or Pakistan and I have no idea how they look in person, or how reliable the sellers are...
