This has a very familiar pattern.... Ok, I was weak and it was cheap! Size "S" but still totally oversized. Nylon lining, weird leather, might be a thin cowhide but it smells a bit odd and it's almost as thin as lamb. Looks like I've got myself a gardening jacket! Wings needs to look into this, it has several of their pattern's hallmarks. The way the back panel is fitted, the way the collar is made, the shape of the collar and the general proportions of the jacket and the pockets. and is this really official Lucas product?? I think US Wings old China factory dug out their pattern and made these up to order in a cheap leather. It's too much like a Wings to be a co-incidence or even 'just' a copy.

That's not a bad looking jacket you got there, KT! (Granted it's no Wested, but still ) I totally agree with you on the U.S. Wings similarities...they really stand out to the gearhead's eye. I'd be willing to bet that you're assumption on the Chinese factory is correct. What exactly does "Lottery jacket" mean? Where did you find this gem, anyway?

A few state lotteries had these as second prizes, they came with a leather satchel a couple of shirts and a hat in a cardboard box. This one was from Texas, but there seemed to be a few more running the same promotion. You'll find a few popping up on ebay.
It's touted as being made by Wings, but Sgt Hack refutes that.
Don't buy one, it's rubbish. I let my curiosity get the better of me!

I think the Sarg is denying having anything to do with these because his Chinese connections messed up the sleeves and sizes so bad...I'm joking, that couldn't possibly be..because these jackets have a more correct strap configuration than Wings. How could several different states all get the same fakes and all claim that they are Wings made, but they're not..and also what of the Lucas licensing thing, we're always hearing how hard they are on fakers or copy right users - surely the makers of these jackets would have realised that they could easily be traced. BTW, who is supposed to be the licensed maker this time?
