Good morning everyone!
I am new to the lounge and saw a posting by "Indianablooze" which referred to "hot washing" a Wested Jacket.
Could Mr Blooze kindly give instructions as to this process or anyone else give some help??
I really like the looks after "hot washing" and would like to duplicate the process on my Wested.
Thanks to all and I have to say this is one of the greatest forums on all things "Indy" out there!!!
Thanks again!

Montana, welcome to the lounge! I don't know all that much about "hot-washing", although I do know it has the potential to cause your jacket to shrink, so be careful. I've always found that cold-water works quite well without the worry of heat-induced shrinking. Still, if your aim IS to reduce the size of your jacket, then a good hot-wash might be perfect.

I got it soaking wet in very, very, hot water, then just tossed it in a ball and let it air dry. It shrank almost a full size. The 2 jackets in this thread started off as 44R, and were almost identical in size. One had a hot wash, one a cold. See how much the one in the hot wash shrank. indylounge.proboards105.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=jacket&thread=195&page=1Be very careful with hot water. I suggest cold water myself.
