Greetings ~ Once (again) I got the bug about a prop that has been ... well... Bugging me... Elsa's lighter ~ another project to which I am placing on my "to do" list... However, I did some research on the Zippo site and found out that this is the 1936 version of their lighter... Vintage - Brushed Chrome™ - 230 Zippo - Brushed Chrome w/art Deco slash Vintage - 230.25 ZIPPO VINTAGE NO SLASH - BRUSH CHROME and the style continues in 1937. as you can see, its slightly different from the movie version, (as the movie version is rounded verses square) so, I decided that this will be the one to use, as it is more historically accurate. The movie version was *actually* released (starting) in 1940, was issued to allied troops, and is still bought and used in that particular style ever since. ~ no doubt a popular version of the Zippo. This is *just* something that caught my interest and was actually bugging me. ;D Once I start on this particular project I will post some piccies of the finished product. Thanks for the read! Respects ~ IE

Very cool, man. I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with. I've always loved the classic 30's zippos, but sadly I never got my hands on one before I quit smoking. ;D I've still got one (a modern one that's monogramed with my initials...guess what those are? ;D ) that I take with me when I go camping, but I don't have much use for any others. Still, I'd love to have an LC clover style lighter someday. I believe Relic Raider sells some, but I think he's just got the badges for sale, not the lighters, I'm not sure. You might want to take a swing through his site for inspiration or ideas: relicraider.110mb.com/index.htmlGood luck with your project, man.
