I went to Indy Gear and it stated that the Wells Lamont 1130 would be the closest thing to the original. Anyone have any preferences of their own? To me, durability is as important as the aesthetics of the glove.

If you are planning to get dragged under a truck, probably you need heavy duty leather gloves, but if you need a pair of gloves for daily use or for costuming, the WellsLamont or even the Todd's replicas should work fine.

Thanks, Ram. Though I don't plan to get dragged under a truck, I suppose that one never knows. Unlike the 1130, the Wells Lamont 1150 has a reinforced palm (for those truck situations that you mentioned).

If they look the part, and you think they could be useful for your "everyday" life, then... Go for it!

I have the Todd's gloves and they're fine for everyday use.

I believe someone was able to inspect a pair of screen-used gloves from Raiders that recently (within the last year) surfaced at an auction. They were actually Wells Lamont 1130's, I believe, and not the 1123's as most had thought. Thus, the 1130's are THE gloves. I happened to pick up a pair back when I thought they were just "close enough", and they've been a great pair of all-around work gloves for the last 5 years. I did some initial distressing to make them look more like the Raiders gloves, but some of what you see is also from frequent use since then. I'm not sure how easy it is to locate a pair of the 1130's these days, but if you can find them they really are quality gloves. -GCR

Nice, GCR! I had a pair of the 1123's and they were not the glove, no doubt.

Ohhh I'll find the gloves, don't you worry! Ha ha
I was on the Wells Lamont Website this morning and found them there, but they want me to order 12 pair at a time. I could use 2 or 3 pair tops, but I have no need for 12. I may use the Amazon link to those Wells Lamont Drivers, as they appear to be 1130's. I need to do more research. The 1150 has a suede rienforced palm, which could be handy. Ohhh damn perfectionism!! I'm getting ridiculous over a pair of screen accurate work gloves, which I plan on using for everyday use. I don't need a super amount of dexterity with them, as I won't be shooting a gun with em on. Ha ha

Thanks, KT. They appear to be the same gloves that the Amazon link on this site goes to. A 3 pack for $30 is right up my alley too. I will do a bit more research and go from there. Oh damn it, I need to lighten up about the screen accuracy of my work gloves. Lol

Do we have any screencap of the palms of the gloves?

Do we have any screencap of the palms of the gloves? Ram, I can't do a screencap from where I'm at right now, but here's a link to the website for the 1150's with the suede rienforced palm: www.wellslamontindustry.com/1150.htm

Hmmm perhaps just having the Wells Lamont brand gloves in the right style will be enough for me. No sense in me getting nit-picky over a model number...I suppose. I may just have to field test several different ones. Todd's repro, 1130, 1150, etc..

Went to my local Big Menards lumber store this weekend and walked down the glove isle and found a rack full of Wells Lamont 1130. They where priced at $8 but the week prior all gloves where half off.
