Wow, that looks pretty accurate compared to the few glimpes we've seen of the Crsytal Skull from the film.
I wonder how long until Lucasfilm brings the hammer down on these guys?

Nice, detailed work... especially on short notice. However, shouldn't it be made of clear resin, so it would look like a crystal skull?

Yeah, clear cold cast resin or acrylic would work nicely.

The more I look at that and think about it.....having that in clear cold cast resin would be friggin creepy! I actually wouldn't mind having one of those sitting in my room all lit up!

that scull looks very much like the head of an alien from close encounters. ;D Maybe it's time for me to make peace with the whole alien thing before the movie comes out. Oh, and I'm still waiting for someone to replicate my KOTCS Prop. It's still sitting in my front yard...lowering my property value.

Kap, The skull was modeled after the leaked KOTCS image in this thread: indylounge.proboards105.com/index.cgi?board=indynews&action=display&thread=804The pic is still showing there, just scroll down a bit. BTW, I think your tumble weed prop is still a hilarious thing to take. What would be even funnier is if you are able to identify it on screen! Imagine what you could charge for the screen used Indy equivilant to Charlie Brown's sad little Christmas tree. ;D ;D ;D Someone would probably buy it.... that's the best part. Ken

Belloq, that's really cool. It looks closer to crystal than the other ones. -Josh

Interesting that the latest posting on the Bay did not sell. I noticed the price has dropped by almost 50% from one of the original ones posted. I think it started out at $500!!!
I am starting my own sculpt of this skull using polymer clay or PaperClay and adding a very heavy clear coat over a crystal like paint job!
