I just wanted everyone to know I saw the Simpson's movie tonight and it was practically sold out. I thought it was hilarious. It's just one joke right after another and it doesn't stop. It's like stringing some of their best episodes together and watching them back to back. Be sure not to leave right away when you see it. They do some stuff during the first half of the credits and Maggie says her first word. ;D If your a fan of the show you'll love it. If your not I'm sure you'd still get a kick out of it.

Yep, The movie was EXCELLENT. ;D
Harry, Actually Maggies first word was "Daddy" and was voiced by Liz Taylor years ago on the show.

Cheers, G-MANN Yeah, I remembered that but Marge says in the film she said her first word......so I wonder if they don't count Liz Taylor's voice anymore? Oh, by the way did you catch the wrecked ambulance at the Springfield Gorge toward the end of the film? I laughed out load at that......It's great to see them throw "Easter Eggs" in there like that for the fans.

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I think you're both right about Maggie's first word. She did say "Daddy" years ago, like G-MANN says, but I seem to recall no one else in the family heard her say it. Thus, as far as Marge or anyone else knows, whatever Maggie utters in the movie would actually be her first word.

That makes sense...

i watched it yesterday... what a work of genius!
i was the only person to stay thru the end credits because i knew they would have funny stuff going on
homer coming to the rescue and screwing up their escape attempts got the biggest laughs
there were so many gags it's hard to remember them all
a few years back people were talking of a live action movie version and i thought that Dakota Fanning would make a good lisa if it was made as a live action film

Iam a big fan of the show ,SO I was really looking forwards to the movie but I felt really dissapointed. The thing I really disliked was how they replaced alot of animation with 3d, that's not something they did in the cartoon and it felt unreal. only towards the end I found it getting funier It felt as a really long episode , not as a movie. Something I didnt have back when South Park bigger longer and uncut came out. Pff maybe it gets better when you watch it over and over? NO I was really dissapointed with this! :--( found this review at empire online just now ! this guy expresses my feelings about the movie perfectley www.empireonline.com/reviews/reviewcomplete.asp?FID=11196
