I just got back from seeing "Transformers", and much to my disbelief,....I enjoyed the hell out of it!! It was a pretty good flick! My son wanted to see it, and I figured it would be a fun film, but didn't think I would have enjoyed it as much as I did. Let me tell you, Shia LeBeouf was great in it. He's very likable, and I think he'll do a fine job in Indy 4. 'Blues Oh yeah,...they show the brand new Chevy Camaro in the film, and by hell or high water,.....I have got to own one. 'B

Yeah, I saw the new Camero a few weeks ago. It's very sharp. I'd love to have one myself..... *sigh* Maybe someday. I plan on going to see Transformers this week sometime. Glad to hear you enjoyed it.

After a wave of lousy stale summer movies this year (Spider-man 3, POTC 3, Fantastic Four 2 to name the main culprits), finally a breath of fresh air! Michael Bay may be the king of action overload, but Transformers was an absolutely fantastic movie! With references through other movies scattered throughout (Armageddon for one, Kill Bill for the other, when Bumblebee makes his reappearance! ;D), non-overkill humor (except for John Turturro and Anthony Davison), absolutely dazzling visual effects (great job, ILM!) and hot babes (a lot of people seem to oogle over Megan Fox's Mikaela, but I like the Aussie hacker chick better! ), this is the movie to watch this summer, just as "300" was the movie to watch during the Spring release. The casting of Peter Cullen as Prime's voice was inspiring and you can bet there'd be lines from the animated movie appearing in this one! Hugo Weaving was ok as Megatron... he's hardly recognizable through the synthesizing. But the biggest surprise to me was Shia Leboeuf, who I honestly thought was gonna be downright annoying. But he turned out to be quite likeable and funny at times, which raises my hopes for Indy IV next year. Definitely a fun movie to watch!

My cousin saw the movie the other night and loved it. I plan on going either today or tomorrow. I've been hearing a lot of good things about it. Die Hard 4 was really good too so it seems like Hollywood is on a roll at the moment. I have to say Kal that I saw all three of the movies you mentioned above. Yes, each of them had their own set of problems but nothing that effected my enjoyment of the films and they certainly don't deserve the hatered that's been spewed out online from these other so-called "reviews" at places like AICN.

Due to a tighter budget, I have only been able to see Spiderman 3 so far this summer. However, I thought it was a great movie.... far from anything closely resembling "lousy" or "stale".

Well, my son Marcus and I just came back from seeing "Transformers". We had been saving some movie gift cards for a movie that would really be worth it, and this one really fit the bill. I thought everything about the movie was very well done. The casting, the special effects, the story, the perfect mixture of action, comedy, tension, and even a little romance. They even gave my son a Transformers comic book with the price of admission. Overall... it was awesome! I now firmly stand behind my original position regarding Shia LaBeouf as a fixture in the Indiana Jones franchise: Trust Spielberg's judgement on this one. Shia is very worthy of the role as Indy's son... and whatever path that role might take beyond Indy 4. He has the great balance of characteristics that have been shared by the greatest of movie stars, and I have no doubt he is becoming one of them. If you haven't seen this movie, or are on the fence about it.... let me add my thumbs up in support, as others here have. You will have a great time and may even want to go out and buy yourself a Transformer too. Ken

I just saw the movie last night. It had a lot of heart for a movie about giant robots, especially for a Michael Bay movie about giant robots. Spielberg may be responsible for that part of the movie. I can just imagine their meetings. Spielberg: "We need to keep the story focused on the human characters." Michael Bay: "Yeah! with more explosions and cars flipping in the air!" Part of this movie actually took me back to high school when I drove a 76 Gran Torino while everyone else had new BMW's and 300z's. The biggest delight in this movie was Shia LaBeouf. I'm sure he'll make a very worthy addition to Indy 4.

I finally got round to seeing this last night and thoroughly enjoyed it the story trundled along nicely, and the slightly clunky reasoning and paper thin background didn't matter at all! It was all about big transforming robots that kicked the poop out of each other and it delivered in spades. Eye popping and jaw dropping don't describe it enough, and I'm not just talking about Megan Fox Those effects and the twisting jumping attacks are just inspired! Oh, and Shia's performance? Not bad! He can do the running around and comedy stuff. Will have to see if he can do the fight stuff. He's likeable enough so I'll keep an open mind. Great summer movie! Very recommended. BTW it costs £7.75 over here now that's about $15 for a local multiplex what does it cost where you are? At those prices I think I have to wait for the discount DVD for Die Hard 4 (It's already left the multiplex here).

I saw Transformers when it came out and really enjoyed the movie. Was much much better than Spiderman 3. As for Shia, here's what I've posted elsewehere on the subject: I first noticed Shia in Constantine. I remember thinking that this guy definately had something about him and his character played off very well against Keanu Reeves. When I saw I Robot, I instantly recognised him, and even though he only had a very small part, again, something stood out. When I found out that he was going to be in the new Indy movie, I was quite pleased to say the least.
