Okay, fess up! Who gets it when they have their Fed on? Has the simple fact that your wearing the hat given you a heroic confidence that just isn't normally there? Not to sound like a complete psycho, but I have on occasion found myself doing gutsier (albeit stupid) things than in my average day based on, for lack of better phrasing, 'trust in the hat' I suppose. I guess what I'm asking is, is there more in it for you than simply owning an Indiana Jones hat? There's a transformation somewhere I think. Not "Voila! I'm Indy now!" because let's face it, that IS psycho, but still something changes. You're still yourself but... changed. Whadda think? Comments? Questions even? (No, I am neither presently drunk or stoned )

I had been wearing Fedoras for quite a while before Raiders so for me no. It's just a part of the way I dress. Although now I wear a much better quality of hat than back then. I like the Indy Fedora look much better than those that I used to wear.
Cheers, G-MANN

You should have posted this over in the general chat because it's not just the hat for me. I know what your talking about though.
For me it's wearing all the gear together. In fact the strange thing is I can't get my whip to do squat when I'm not in gear. I put the gear on and I have no problem whatsoever cracking it and getting to do whatever I want.
I know it's all in my mind and it's just a matter of confidence but still isn't it amazing what a little thing like wearing different clothes can do for a persons psyche.

Yep, and that's what I'm saying! I live in a mountainous area and love walking. Last week in the absolute dead of the night with no torch and no phone (deliberately) I went on a two hour walk down every bush passage, dark alley, pitch black school campus, dangerous climbs, you name it! I covered approximately 6 miles, doing pretty much a lap of the town. It was damn terrifying! Seriously, for most of this trek I could not even see my hands in front of my face! I dare say I might not have done it had I not been wearing the hat. This particular route was a previous fear of mine. Some messed up stuff has happened (or rumored to have happened) in these parts. But hey, I live.
