Hey Guys, Saw TMNT today, the effects were great, definitely a kids movie, but I loved it..Mainly because of the graphics. Oh and I saw something intriguing before the movie started. They had a preview for a Jerry Seinfeld movie called Bee Movie. What was so intriguing about that you ask. Well, this preview had Jerry Talking to Steven Spielberg, and Spielberg was wearing a VERY INDYISH LEATHER JACKET, The jacket was even well distressed!! could it be that he was wearing a possible new Indy style jacket? I don't know, all I can say is the jacket he had on was very very cool. I want to know who makes it. I'm trying to find the same preview on line but I cant seem to find it. Anyway the jacket looked great.. Sincerely, Prof.Wex

Hey prof, i did see TMNT on Friday night. It was a great cartoon, and the artwork was amazing. The scene with Leo and Raph fighting int he rain was one of the best animated rain scenes I have ever seen. Beautiful! I also saw the Bee Movie trailer, and thought the same thing about the jacket. It looked very Wested, and very Indy. I'll try and find a pic somewhere to post here. I actually thought it would be a nice jacket to own. If it were Indys new jacket, I'd be all over it. 'Blues Here it is, pick BeeMovie Trailer #2 www.apple.com/trailers/paramount/beemovie/Cool jacket, IMHO 'B

ya know, the more I think of it, I believe Rick5150 has a jacket very much like that in design,..a vintage one from the 30's. Hopefully he'll see this thread and maybe post some pics. 'Blues

Spielberg's jacket does have a great Indy-esque look to it, and I think the distressing/worn look has been well done too. My son wants to see TMNT, though we may wind up seeing it on DVD to save money. I'm sure it will be fun.

I was never a huge fan of the TMNT. I guess most of it had to do with the "surfer dude" way they talked. I think I'll wait until it comes out on DVD to rent it.
From what I saw of from the trailer the animation does look really good. It seems to capture the spirit of the old comic books better than the live action movies.

'Blues 'Blues - I grabbed these from my archives. You have a good memory. My jacket is an authentic 1930's jacket made by Archer. I did a web search and came up with nothing. I was going for an era-correct adventurer-looking jacket. For what it is worth, that hat is a 1930's era Stetson... Mine has zip-sleeves as well as a cuff design and side straps. Speilberg's has the half-belt design where mine does not. I do like the fit of the older jackets for sure. Everybody is worried about freedom of movement nowadays, but this jacket has the sleeves cut so high up the body that it moves with you without constricting or riding up when you lift your arms.

That's it!! What an awesome looking jacket. I actually like it better than the Speilberg jacket. I don't like the back belt look that much, and I think zippered cuffs add a nice look to the jacket. Thanks for posting those pics.
I didn't know you had an Indy era fedora, either. That is one nice looking Stetson. That one was probably made here in Philly, when their business was booming. Cool gear, Rick! Mike
