Did anyone watch the new Knight Rider? I could not get over Kitts new voice and a Mustang. That's like having the Bandits car being a Camaro or the General Lee being a Saturn I still liked the show even with those flaws. But I keep picturing Hassel the Hoff drunk on the floor eating a burger. ;D

I watched the 2 hour movie and I didn't think it was to bad. I like the Mustang. The Trans Am was good for it's time but they no longer make them and I think the Mustang actually looks like a tougher car.......I also wouldn't put Kitt in the same category as the General Lee or the Bandit's car. What made Kitt..."Kitt" was the voice and the personality. How he interacted with Michael Knight is what mattered. Yeah, the TA was cool but IF the show would have stayed on for a few more years you know they would have switched it to the new "Hot Car" at the time......Heck, I could have seen them turning Kitt into a Dodge Viper....... The plot was a little......"Meh" but I liked Val Kilmer doing the voice of Kitt and I kinda thought the new Mike did a decent job. I'd like to see it get picked up as a series. I used to watch the old show all the time but to be honest "The Hoff" always acted waaaaay to cocky for my tastes....Even as a kid I noticed! ;D Someone complained that it sounded more like Kilmer was doing a voice over and it didn't seem like he was "there" the way William Daniels voice was in the original series......Well, it was a "Voice Over" Kilmer was brought in at the last minute. Will Arnett from SNL was the original voice. Turns out he had to back out of the project because he was a spokesman for another car company and the Mustang was made by Ford! So that's the story behind that.

The red light bar is even in the right location. This would have been a sweet Kitt. I too hope they pick this up.

If I'm not mistaken that pic was something that got released on the web a while back when there were rumors of a Knight Rider theatrical movie going around. That is a sleek car but at the same time it sticks out like a sore thumb. The cool thing about both the original Kitt and the new one was that they were basically regular street cars. Yeah, they were jet black but still he could blend in to some degree with everyday traffic and it wouldn't be as easy to spot him. Heck this new Kitt can change his color. Basically, the car would be less conspicuous than say pulling up in something like in the pic you posted.
