I grew up on Dr Who - I can remember the old John Pertwee episodes used to send my older brother screaming from the room. In fact he only had to hear the music! I really got into it when Tom Baker took over and I loved it. I kept watching until Colin Baker (no relation) took over - I think it started to get a bit naff after that. The recent revamp is terrific. I thought Christopher Ecclestone was great and so is David Tennant. They've really succeeded in putting the edge back into Doctor Who, without losing the humour and excitement. Good stuff!

yes , Exactly and I think in this new age. They can reach a totally different group also. Its nice to see that the old series is kept in its way , and that the Daleks , and cybermen have kept most of theyre original look well the Daleks , more then the cybermen. And I think that season 2 of the new series the episodes got better and better , to name a a few the impossible planet and the follow up the satan pitt where really exciting ! Though I have to say spoiled youth as I am. I have a harder time getting into the older episodes because theyre a bit slower then I am used to.

i have been a fan my entire life, growing up on peter davison onward, one of my favorite classic story lines was Remembrance of the Daleks which shows their destruction and it was the last time we saw them until the "Dalek" episode in 2005
i had a major crush on Ace and kinda still do as she still looks fantastic for her age, she had attitude and was tough, and invented her own explosive Nitro 9 which was useful for blowing up daleks, and a baseball bat powered by the hand of Omega also useful for destroying daleks.
plus im loving the long story arcs and links between torchwood too.

I too was too young to appreciate it much on PBS in the 70's and early 80's. I love the new incarnation though. Eccleston was my favorite, but I really enjoy Tennant too. I also like Torchwood and just started with the Sarah Jane Adventures (more kid friendly, but not bad).
