hey all!, is there a BTTF part IV in the works? How many of you have seen Christopher Lloyd reprising the legendary role of Doctor Emmet Brown in a Direct TV commercial? not to out of the ordinary is it? but how about this.. Michael J Fox, Suffering from parkinsons, disease reprising his role as Marty mcfly in another commercial of the same nature?. Yes.. I jsut saw it.. MJF pulls up in a decked out delorean and asks Doc.." DOC!! you gotta help me!" and he replies something like " what marty!! what!!?!?" and Marty replies " I need to get direct TV!!".. Cheesy yes.. but is it a possible nod to a BTTF part IV in the works??.. we shall seeeeeeee

hmm.. Prof. Wex.... i like your thinking... i could go for another one now..enough times past... and christopher lloyd isn`t getting any younger.. neither is fox. I`m surprised that with his parkinsons that he still pulled off that role.. the real question is getting back Bob Gale and Bob Zemeckis. The cast loved them.. get them.. get the cast..

I've seen the Lloyd commercial but I haven't seen the Fox one yet. Fox has done quite a few TV shows after being diagnosed with Parkinson's. He recently did several episodes of Boston Legal. I thought he did a good job....Although it was difficult for him. There were rumors of a BTTF 4 years ago but it never got off the ground. Then Fox got sick and that seemed to crush any hopes of them doing anymore. Although, there was one idea that had Fox only appearing in a cameo role and the movie focusing on Doc and someone else. I think Justin Long could fill in for Fox in a "Marty" like role.......IF they decided to make more. I seriously think this is the closest we'll ever get to seeing Fox as Marty again. We've got a better chance of Indy's 4 , 5 and 6!

true, i`ve always thought that Fox was not as dynamic of a person to replace. Lloyd however brought a depth and meaning to Doc that I don`t think could be matched by any younger actor. Marty's persona could easily be matched by any actor these days...
as for Indy's 5 and 6...
Ummm No.. ;D

I think Hollywood is starting to pay attention to films like "Rocky Balboa", and now "Indy4", so they can bring anything and everything out of the closet to make new films. IF you haven't noticed, all Hollywood does anymore is re-make EVRYTHING!!! Old crappy tv shows, remakes of movies that don't need a remake, like "The Longest Yard".
Maybe they can combine "Back to the Future 4" with "Godfather 3", so they can go back in time to stop them from making that horrible P.O.S. At least keep Coppola from using his daughter in the film as a main character. Although, Soffia Coppola IS a very good director. She needs to stick to that. But I digress. 'Blues

;D ;D, Blues, we have the same outlook on the current film industry. Now, that's not true. They're not remaking everything! Look at the fresh, new thrillers out there, now. The Hitcher just opened and it's not a - Ahhhh crap. Well, the remake of - Goonies? Should be awesome?

On one of the BTF dvd's, Zemekis said he'll never do or authorize a fourth film. He seemed pretty firm on that. He also stated that he'll never do a digitally enhanced version of the original films. If they do a fourth film, maybe they'll go back to the time when half the movie was shot with Eric Stoltz as Marty before he was fired and it was all reshot with Michael J. Fox. Maybe Eric Stoltz can go back in time and save his career.

To me this commercial with Doc Brown just seems to be one of several commercials for Direct TV like the one with Jessica Simpson (Dukes of Hazzard) and Bill Paxton (Twister). I really do not think they are going to consider another BTTF at this time.
