The figure looks a lot better in some of those hi-res shots. I think seeing the face from a few different angles helped. Overall I think it looks pretty damn good, but I'm not crazy about the jacket. Thanks for the link!

Well, the day it hit the web I sat there and stared at the thing almost all day. These hi-res shots really don't offer anymore detail to me than the other shots did. I do think I can see a little bit of distressing on the jacket.... I'd like to know if the shirt has the epaulets and the pleats on it. I wish they would have done a shot without the jacket on..... The jacket could use some adjusting. To be honest though IF this is how the final product looks I'll be happy..... Things I would change. Check the shirt to make sure it had all the right features, maybe make it more of an off white. Make the web belt brown. Darken the pants slightly and make the pockets slightly smaller on the jacket and also make the stitching smaller.

Head sculpt is off; hopefully the finalized piece is better than the proto.

I agree that it's not a perfect likeness of Ford. It is the second best available, though. The best, I think, it the Sideshow Premium Format Indy. -Josh

I'm sorry, it IS a nice figure, but the likeness looks more like the rendition from MAD magazine than Ford. They went a little too far towards caricature than they needed to.

Totally rubbish sculpt, try saying that on the other board, you'll be lynched. No honest to god, Sideshow has never QUITE gotten it right, but this is just totally not worth 90 bucks.

The face in the last two sculpts posted here also resemble Dylan McDermott to me: Ken

Imo, the premium format figure looks way better... I'd buy it! For $290?!? We shouldn't have to pay that much for a true likeness of HF on a figure.

I think the figure is worth $90. After all, it's not just a head sculpt. If Gentle Giant made a bust of Harrison for $90, now that would be a waste of money. With Sideshow, you get a NEW body, excellently tailored outfit, awesome accessories, and interchangeable hands and heads.
And tell me where there's a better 1/6 figure for under $500? Let alone under $100!

There are replacement boots you can buy, but they aren't exactly cheap and very hard to find. They're sold out, but here's the website, in case they come back in stock: www.newlineminiatures.com/products_ww2alliesboots.htmThey're called "1930's Civilian Boots." -Josh

Why has he got poppers on his jacket stormflap? The proto didn't?

Why has he got poppers on his jacket stormflap? The proto didn't? Yeah, I noticed that too. I'm almost certain that the prototype didn't have those. Hopefully the production figure will have these boots: -Josh

I just read a recent post in that thread at the Sideshow forum. The guy that took pictures of the loose Indy, switched the body. The boots didn't fit, so he used different boots. So, Sideshow has the correct boots. Thank GOD!

AAAHHHHHH!!! He left the bag strap on the outside of the jacket!
By the way, my brother got his Sideshow Exclusive this morning. It pretty much kicks ass. Ben already has customized the gunbelt to be more accurate. My regular edition should be here on Dec. 1st or 2nd. Cannot wait. I'll be altering it to be a LC Indy.
Pics to come soon, yes?

Ben's already made a few adjustments. He's touched up the beard, painted the hats and adjusted the whip holder so to hold the whip better. Picture time! Before painting the hat: after: -Josh
