Awww.....now why am I buying one of Pagey's whips when I could have an official Indiana Jones FX whip for $20! ;D Seriously, this all sounds cool and I will most likely be buying all of it.....including the whip for my kids.

Ugh...yeah, BOTH 12 inch Indys look horrible, but the Raiders version with the idol and jacket looks MUCH worse. His fedora looks more like Henry Sr's hat than Indy's! The others don't look so bad...the Cairo swordsman looks great, Mutt is OK and the German soldier is passable (though riddled with historical inaccuracies). Why can't they get Indy right? -GCR

His fedora looks more like Henry Sr's hat than Indy's! Actually, I think the fedora on the Indy figure without the jacket looks pretty good. But you're right the other one sucks. I also think the Alden's look really good. -Josh

Now I saw the one link and posted it over in the other thread but I didn't see this other one..... Except for a few things why are most of these pictures of the action and 12 inch figures so different on each site?! The boxed 12 inch Indy figure definitely has what looks to be the final design of the hat......Then again the 12 inch Cairo Indy hat looks much better on both sites..... I'm totally confused........Are ALL of these shots just of the prototypes still or is this exactly what we will be seeing in the stores???

I'm totally confused........Are ALL of these shots just of the prototypes still or is this exactly what we will be seeing in the stores??? I'd like to know that myself, just for curiousity's sake. The figures on the site that Josh linked to look better for the most part than the figures in the other thread, and they also appear more "finished" in many ways. The only thing that is throwing me off, is that certain Soviet figures (including Spalko) are pictured here wielding Desert Eagle handguns, which had not been invented in 1957 (and even if they had been around in '57, they were used by the Israeli Military, not the Soviets). The figures that KT posted a link to in another thread have a different handgun, a Tokarev TT33, which is a Soviet military sidearm and would be accurate to the period (it came into use prior to WWII and saw service throughout the conflict...in all likelyhood it would still be in service in '57). So, my point is, if somebody at the Toy Company did enough homework to figure out that 1950's era Russians should be carrying Tokarevs instead of Desert Eagles, then perhaps the figures with those guns would represent something closer to the finished product? By that rationale, the figures KT posted would be closer to the figures you'll see for sale in stores. Let's hope I'm wrong... -GCR

Wow, I didn't even really look at the guns they were carrying in each of the pics! Hey, it could be worse......All the figures could be carrying walkie talkies instead of guns! ;D As far as the 12 inch figures go I sorta like the ones on the link Josh posted........All they'd need to do is copy the "Cairo Indy" hat for the regular version and that would be a pretty cool looking figure......Still none of them look like Ford at all.

SERIOUSLY!!! You know, we probably shouldn't joke about that...the "modified" US teaser trailer has me worried that by the time they release the movie the Soviets will all be carrying "walkie-talkies", too! ;D

Yeah, I should have knocked on wood when I posted that! ;D I'm more than certain we will be seeing a fair amount of gunplay and violence without the MPAA butting in...... Why they went to all that trouble for two very minor shots is beyond me...Considering we see two Russian soldiers blown to bits in the very next set of shots you would have thought they'd have more of problem with that..... The sad part is these idiots believe they're protecting children from this stuff when the sad truth is that most of the kids living in the US and the rest of the world can just walk out their front door and see far more horrible things than anything remotely close to what is in this trailer or even the film........Heck, they probably don't even have to leave their houses! This reminds me........come election day I'm going to vote for the candidate that supports re-introducing common sense into our culture.......Oh, wait.....there aren't any! ;D
