Marc, Although this is not my style of hat, I can see the excellent craftsmanship that I am used to seeing from any of your work. The ribbon is very nice and the usual great job on the bow. This makes a great Vintage Hat that I would expect to see in a 40 or 50's Film. Homer Says " I give it 4 Doughnuts."

As usual, fine craftsmanship on display. I would call this one and Indy inspired, Pork Pie-brid (as in hybrid) style adventure hat. Very unique, and I'm sure he will be happy with it.

Great worn Marc! I prefer a taller crown, but since your friend wanted a lower crown I'm sure he'll love it!

Marc, I've been studying this hat for a couple of days trying to figure out specifically what it is that I am not too fond. (You said "honest opinion", now. ) Understandably, from your comments about why this hat came about, there isn't a whole lot that can be done with a hat that has been requested to be so short. At first I figured I was just biased and hung up on a taller Raiders bash fedora and that I couldn't get over the hat being that short as it seemed a waste of a beautiful fedora to compress it to those proportions. So, putting Indy stuff aside and looking at the hat as a different fashion altogether, it has great angles and definite style, but I still couldn't figure out what it was that bothered me until now. The hat seems unfinished (to me) with no semblance of a front pinch. That's all it is. It looks like it's in the final stages of work just before that last piece is added. It might not be possible with the hat bashed that way, but I was thinking something kind of like this (or a variant of) just seems to finish it off. Of course, sir, this is the opinion of a man who doesn't understand the full scale of work that goes into these hats, but that is my honest opinion as to what's been bugging me about this hat specifically.

Next time I'll make a non-Indy, I'll make sure to ask you BEFORE I give it to the customer That looks GORGEOUS and SO much better. I guess I was too afraid to put in the front crease, due to the Indy relation (which my collegue absolutely didn't want ), that I didn't even think about it. Well done Tone. Thanks for the input, the honest opinion and for not calling me sir again ;D I'm just a fanatic trying to do his best. Regards, Marc

You did a wonderful job, Marc, but that hat just looks kind of silly to me. Fine workmanship, nonetheless.
