Better? Hasbro are going to sell them online for those who can't get to the con.

Ahh, now that's some good news!
By the way, anyone else here like the Clone Trooper armor better than the Stormtrooper or am I the only one?
And I'm not even a huge fan of the last three films. But man, that Clone Trooper armor looks cool!

I don't know Tone, I'm particularly fond of the biker scout uniforms and the snow troopers are pretty cool too.
Do you think they will be selling these on Star Wars Shop.com?

Wow!
Can you only get these at the Comic Con? How fully articulated is that figure? That's probably one of the better Stormtrooper figures I've seen though.
Isn't or wasn't there supposed to be a new George Lucas figure or something coming out or given away?

Alright, I admit it, ITG. The Biker Scout armor is REALLY COOL! What messed it up for me were those "pew, pew" pistols they carried. The armor is definitely cool, though. PH, KT mentioned that Hasbro will be selling these online. That is, if Cactus isn't going to buy any for all of us while he's at the con.

I stopped a while ago. Right now I need a whole seperate house for my stuff as it is. This stuff is very cool though.

While I think it is really cool that the 501st gets its own figure, there is something with the head/helmet that just looks odd. I can't figure it out though.

You might be seeing it as a bit big. That's what I was thinking was odd about it at first glance. For a Hasbro figure that's pretty darn accurate. I think if the head is a bit bigger it's because the helmet looks to have more detail than the normal ones. What Hasbro needs to do is pick a Han Solo head and stick with it. I could have my face scanned and placed on some of those figures and look more like Harrison than some of those dolls do.

But man, that Clone Trooper armor looks cool! I thought the clone troopers were cool, especially the coloured ones in the 3rd film. I did find it interesting that at at the start of the month at LFCC there were loads of Original Trilogy Stormtroopers, Snow Troopers and Scouts even an Imperial guard but not a single Clone trooper. I prefer the originals myself, but they are iconic. Does anyone know if the 501st figure is just a standard figure with a decal or did they customise the sculpt too. (Unlikely because of cost, but the might have swapped an arm or something.)

Weird. I couldn't find the 501st figure on that page. There are some cool figures there, though! (Wouldn't you know, the 12" Clone Trooper is out of stock. Hmph!) Thanks for that link, KT. PH, I've always thought the same thing. Find a Han Solo head sculpt that looks good and STICK WITH IT! Some of the Han Solo figures and details look great until...........you see the heads they have on 'em. SHEESH! It's like, "Look, it's a cool Han Solo figure with........Bill Maher's head on it?

Not only are the Han Solo figures hit or miss but so are the Indy figures as well. I don't know if Harrison has it in some kind of contract that they have to get permission to use his likeness with these toys or not but if I was him and saw some of them I'd be totally offended. Some of them are not even close. I have a Indy figure from Temple of Doom that looks more like Red Buttons than Harrison Ford. It's just lousy. About the only figure from any of the major toy companies that I think really captured Ford was the original 12' Han Solo / Indiana Jones figures. I'm not including figures from Side Show or Toys McCoy because those were limited high end figures that at those prices BETTER look like Ford. Weird. I couldn't find the 501st figure on that page. There are some cool figures there, though! (Wouldn't you know, the 12" Clone Trooper is out of stock. Hmph!) Thanks for that link, KT. Looks like they're all gone. That doesn't surprise me. You've got to be right on top of these things when they hit or you'll miss out. I thought there was some new limited edition George Lucas figure coming out? I know they made a figure of his "Cameo Character" from Episode 3 but this was supposed to be something different. By the way has anyone seen that new Luke figure that just came out? His in his original outfit only he's wearing the poncho and hat. He comes with a trunk, binoculars and two lightsaber hilts. He's about one of the coolest new ones I've seen in a while......especially for a Luke figure.

Hasn't that one been out for a while, PH? I think I remember seeing that Luke figure in Toys R Us close to a year ago. Maybe it's different, but that one came with a bunch of stuff, too. I could be exaggerating, but I think it came with all his Tatooine stuff AND his X-Wing Pilot gear.

Actually, rather than the conspiracy theory of why no figures actually look like Harrison I think the truth is probably more mundane. He's not that precious. These days actors/actresses get approval on sculpts and drawings of them, "I look fat in that, I want bigger breasts" etc etc. Ford many not be too bothered.
The other thing is on Star Wars particularly Lucas got the actors to sign away their likenesses as the characters so they may NOT actually have the right to Actor Approval.
