ya i saw that but todd's shows the repro bag being distressed (which is a darker green) and mine is the original, so i dont want to make it too light or even tan. THanks for the help though and thanks for the welcome

Junior - Is your bag an Original MK-VII that just looks brand new? I wouldn't distress it much if I were you, but I can also understand the desire to have your gear LOOK right. Here's my suggestion, find a nice spot of ground that has some light-colored, dusty dirt and rub the bag around in the ground with the dusty dirt. It won't really wreck the bag and is mostly reversible since you can always clean the dirt off later. But it will give your bag a real "adventurous" look very quickly, and it will lighten it up a bit as well. Fuller's earth would also work for this. I don't blame you for not wanting to use the Todd's method on a real MK-VII, though...isn't there a step that requires bleach? Good luck! -GCR
