Good Day, I picked up this used Wested Cowhide a few months back and was interested in a few suggestions or comments on how it appears to fit me as I plan on placing an order soon for a Wested HH. I can take the measurements from this jacket and add to it based on any feedback I can receive. If it matters to anyone, the distressing was done by the previous owner. Thanks.

That looks like Rick5150's Old Cowhide Wested.
As far as the fit it looks like you could use another inch or two in the sleeves. Otherwise it looks good to me.
Cheers, G-MANN

I believe it was originally Rick5150 that owned the jacket. I picked it up from someone else that bought it. The description I was given was word for word the same as Rick5150 first posted this jacket for sale. I do love how soft the leather is now.

Great looking jacket! Yeah, I'd agree with G-MANN. An extra inch or two in the sleeves, and maybe another inch in the overal length of the jacket itself might not hurt. I look forward to seeing what Wested comes up with, so don't forget to post some pics! -GCR

I did forget to mention, that is the BEST looking Cowhide Wested that I have ever seen. IMHO. I even thought about buying that when Rick put it up for sale but it would have been too small for me. Cheers, G-MANN

That jacket is actually a pretty good fit. As the others have said, an extra inch in body and sleeves.

I like it as is If it was me, I wouldn't add anything anywhere, but of course that's personal preferance only. Only complaint I can tell, is that the pockets are too big IMO. Regards, Marc

I think G-Mann is right.....maybe add a few more inches to the sleeve length and but that would be it. I think the actual jacket body and length looks perfect on you.

Thanks for the comments. This jacket is definitely a keeper, but I was unsure of the fit as perceived by others and I always welcome comments. I do like it a lot. I want to order a Wested HH, even more so after reading about Marc's new Wested. So I thought I would put this post out there so I can put together some measurements and specs after garnering a few suggestions.
Thanks again.

Do you ever get mistaken for Tom Hanks? I had to do a double-take on that first pic, lol
Anyway, nice jacket!

Greetings ~ Sir ~ That jacket looks great! Ndeed, the sleeves could be longer slightly, but overall it is a great looking jacket ~ I also own a Wested Cow Hide (LC - Pre-distressed) and I LOVE it. As you stated the leather is nice, soft, and comfortable. Does it (still) retain its leathery smell? Respects to you! IE

Well I never been mistaken for Tom Hanks before. Although it would probably be nice to get some free VIP treatment. You are the first to make that observation. The jacket still has a nice leather smell. I use brown pecards on it and I still must say it's very soft and drapey. More so than my Todd's standard and lambskin Wested. The next jacket I order will be a little longer in both sleeves and length. I'm thinking a TOD style at the moment. The other consideration is either the Expedition or Wested Horse. I've read plenty of posts on the merits and cons of each. But next week I should have a decision made and be placing an order. And as before, thanks for the comments, it has helped me come up with some measurements.
