I probably should have had her sign the inside of the jacket somewhere or something. Ah, at the time I really wasn't thinking about any of that though. ;D

Man now after hearing that I'm TOTALLY buying this Jacket. ;D But In all seriousness I have been looking at this jacket for a while now and all I have heard about this jacket has been positive. I think after hearing an honest opinion from an honest person i'm gonna invest in this jacket as my first Indy jacket. Thank You.

Your welcome. I don't think you'll be disappointed. I'm glad the info is out there now so others like yourself that are looking at buying this jacket know ahead of time what the actual product is like. Hopefully, IF the weather is nice enough I can wear it around some more this weekend. Lately it's been a little to chilly to wear it out. Of course I've still got dust on it from Halloween so I haven't tried to wear it out so it might be ok with a thick sweater underneath it. Make sure you post pics when you get it.

Just remember it is a very light jacket, thin with no padding. Looks great, and so far, I have worn it 2 weeks straight here in NOCAL with no evidence of wear, or bad workmanship.
However, if you are not prepared for it's thinness, you will have a mild surprise when you first pick it up.

Yeah, I don't think you'll ever hear someone say " Man, it's really cold out there. Let me grab my lambskin jacket". Even the lambs wear fur over the their own skin. Ken

WOW, my star wars, superman loving butt needs to check in more often, cant forget about Indy!
Well im SOLD on one of these jackets now. For a while ive wanted a lambskin jacket after owning lambskin tabards for my anakin gear and realizing how soft and wonderful it felt, and would feel as a jacket. But like most of us one wested was enough. This price is nothing, at least in comparison to crap i buy always lol ( I NEED TO STOP) , but not stopping yet.
Chis that jacket looks great on you! You say its an XL??? Whats with his measurements??! I was totally thinking id get a medium maybe large, but i know im bigger than you so id get the XL.
I have a wested goat in authentic brown, and yea i love it, and the fact that its from wested, but the non scallopped pockets erk me so bad now, its just NOT indy looking without those. Im so psyched to get one of these todds now. Im definitely keeping the goat though since its no longer available from wested, and yea it gets cold and this sucker is the perfect windstopper, i wear it in snow and rain, hardley gets damamged.
Also how long was shipping time for the jacket? Pretty quick? Answer as soon as you can so i can place my order. I just wanted to clear those things up!
alos my chest measures 46 relaxed, what are your measurements so i can compair? I want the jacket to fit a bit tigheter than this wested, but not suffocating.

Bryan, I'd definitely go with the XL.....This jacket fits me like a glove. There's room but not a whole lot. I'm betting if he offered an XXL I could have worn that and I'd have been alright.
The jacket is definitely light, that's for sure. I can't really wear it now unless I wear a thick sweater under it......It's more of a Spring, Summer , Fall jacket.....I think that's where a regular jacket has this one beat.
If I was wearing this in the jungle though it would be perfect! ;D
I think it took about a week to get my jacket, maybe less. Todd's shipping here in the US is very fast in my opinion.
One more thing about the size. He does offer a custom jacket but that runs near $500, I believe. It's quite a chunk of change. It may be your only option though because you might need one custom fitted. You've definitely got a better build than me. So even the XL Standard might be to tight........Of course IF you get it and it doesn't fit I'm sure Todd would refund your money if it's not worn around for days before you return it.

I'm not totally sure........Whatever it is it's rather slick. I find myself doing that old "Star Trek : NG tug" on my jacket when it's zipped up on occasion because it has a tendancy to slide around when I'm wearing my Indy shirt. I don't believe it does that all the time though.... I'll have to look and see if it says on the jacket or on Todd's website.

ok i saw a picture of the jacket in someone else post at COW, and yea it looks like a full polyester satin type lining. I opted to get the cotton body satin sleeves on my wested which i really like alot.
Anyways my jacket was sent out yesterday, im guessing it will be here Tuesday/wed cant wait!

got my jacket. I love it, the thin feeling is so differnet then wearing this goat wested. I still love my wested though. Compairing the 2 i think the wested truely fits me better, its just so much tougher too. The Todd is awesome though. I do wish the sleeves were slightly longer. I like the tight feeling though, its going to be awesome with my gear for costuming. Much less material on and much cooler. I def plan to beat it up good and wear it in like his jacket, screw being kind to it lol. Defiiitely wont be doing any water treatements though to it, that would be bad. Anyways ill post pics later, most likely tomorrow, off to my work party now in my new jacket! Great buy for 150 bucks for sure. Do wish they had a slightly bigger version though.

yea dude i love it. I was just wearing it around my house all day sicne its almost like a shirt. This thing is just so thin compaired to my goat, the goat feels like armor to this! I was almost shocked when i picked up the box, expecting to feel the weight of something more than... just a box. I had a good week of scruff yesturday which i would have liedk for some jcket pics but i went to a xmas party so i ahd to clean up some. Anyways ill try to get some pics today.

So i still need to get some pics snapped of my jacket. But after wearing it for a couple days i do love the jacket. But there are a few things that get me still. Sleeve length is and will be the biggest issue. The lenght would be fine if the shoulder width was slightly wider. When my jacket is zipped the cuffs are at my wrists. I am used to that longer wested sleeve. A few people have said the jacket looks a bit small on me, but thats because of the sleeves i think, and because so many people are used to wearing such loose clothing. I dont mind the liner, I would have though if it was the wested polyester, i like this stuff though, same material inside my Anakin tunic. I still wish the pockets were a big more scalloped, basically a bit more round at the point of the pocket, and less pointed. Def a huge improvement from my wested though. When putting on my wested i feel like the jacket just fits me so much better, but i just love having the thin jacket on. Basically im already ready to just give in and distress the jacket and consider it a costume piece. For $150 im not too worried. I do wish they made the XXL , i would have definitely bought that, and if its a bit big i just wash and dry it some. Still like the jacket for sure.

Now I'm not totally sure on this but I *think* at least one of the guys who owns this jacket got it wet and stretched out the length of the body and the sleeves some and it fit him a little better.
I don't know how wet he got it and to be honest I don't want to try anything with it until I have another jacket as a back up......
I really want to order one of the Lambskin jackets from Flightsuits early next year with the money from my tax returns......I'm also considering ordering an ABD then too. If I can swing it. I'd like to get one before the price hike...

One thing to watch out for if anybody does get ambitious and decides to do some stretching...getting the leather wet and stretching it can sometimes actually cause the leather to shrink later on. It depends a lot on the type of leather and how it's stretched, but it CAN happen... So while a newly stretched leather jacket might look great at first, in a month you might have yourself a skin-tight, short sleeve leather shirt. Honestly, Indakin, if I were you and there was anything that bugged me about the dimensions of your jacket, I'd send the "standard" jacket back for a refund and place an order for a Todd's custom instead. -GCR

Todd's costume jacket runs about the price of a Flightsuit Indy jacket, doesn't it? I think Todd should consider making the standard available in XXL.
