For some time now I've been watching the Special Offer Raiders jacket on the official Wested site. Well, just the other day I found out that they no longer have the Special Offer. I waited too long to buy it. But, this I found interesting: a DENIM Raiders jacket. Denim! Well, it's only like $91 US. So, I pose a question to all of you... is it worth it for an authentic, yet non-leather, jacket? Or should I wait a couple of more months to get a lamb skin jacket from Wested? I really don't want to pay $335 for a leather jacket, as awesome as it may be. That's still well over $150 I've ever spent on one article of clothing. Tell what you guys think. -Josh

Hey Mrfusion, I have one of these jackets ordered and should be receiving it in about a week or so. You might want to wait till I get mine so I can post pics and give a review. I'm sure this will be a top notch jacket. Sincerely, Prof.Wex

That's a good looking jacket and would make a fine addtion to any Indy fan's wardrobe. I like how it already looks worn in. This would be a great washable/breathable alternative to the leather version. Can't wait to see pics.

I look at it this way. I've seen so many leather jackets on store racks (that aren't even close to the quality of a Indy Wested )and they charge doulbe than wested. Why nickle and dime yourself to the poor house. I would always wait and save to get something I know I will like and have for a very long time. rather than spend a little money and only be happy for a short time and end up spending more money in the long run.

Hey Guys, Well I received my Denim Indy jacket today, and all I can say is its a great jacket. Some Features: The inner pocket has a zipper closer. Its has the x-box stitching on the straps. The zipper is silver colored. Says YKK on it. The pockets are perfect in my opinion. And for some odd reason it has silver D-Rings, Im changing those tonight. I'll post pics later on tonight, All in all This is another great addition to my Indy jacket collection. I like it. Sincerely, Prof.Wex

When I went over there this weekend he was changing some out with a pair of pliers, I joked that I would take a pic of him doing it to show that he does it!! . The zipper is the smaller silver one, goes down to the bottom of the jacket, it has smaller pleats, and the top of the storm flap is rounded, the inner pocket has the narrow 'piped' edging.... see he does listen!

Looks like a winner to me. Great looking and surely comfortable. I love the pockets. Are they paying more attention to pocket flaps these days?

Hey Guys,
just a quick update, I don't know how I missed this, but the Denim Indy has 2 inner pockets, One on each side, only one is zippered though.

Wex, Very cool jacket, man! I think I prefer the look of this jacket over the previous Wested cloth offering. Any chance of some outdoors pics, in some sunlight? How light or dark is the true color? -GCR

Hey Wex, Is it Machine Washable? Cheers, G-MANN I believe this jacket is machine washable, but to be sure heres a picture of the tag, I'm not sure what the symbols stand for. GCR, I'll try and get some pics outdoors tomorrow, the color is actually very dark brown, with a reddish tint to it. Sincerely, Prof.Wex

Hey Wex,
What size did you get? Was the fit pretty true to the advertised size? Also, I'm assuming that the lining is entirely cotton, including the sleeves?
Looks like a great jacket; I'm about 2 seconds from ordering one myself...

The sleeves and body are longer than standard, but it has a good cut. I'm tiny so they should be a good fit for normal people! Should have straightened the collar befor getting my pic taken HUH?

KT, Looks like a good fit to me. and whats that tag hanging from the sleeve? Hey Jordan, I ordered a size ( 42 ) off the rack. The fit is in my opinion perfect. I'm assuming that it could shrink a tad after washing and drying. I wear a off the rack ( 42 ) in wested's leather Indy as well. THe lining is entirely cotton including the sleeves. I eventually use the water treatment on all my jackets, I wet them down then wear them till dry, and to me, this makes the fit more personal. I'm guessing the water helps the jacket take your own body shape better. I believe this works just the same on a clothe jacket as it does on a leather. I did the water treatment on my old clothe wested and it changed the fit completely, at least for me it did. < Please do this at your on risk>. To give a good example on size: I have a brand new never worn Wested Indy Lamb in a 42, I measured this jacket and my new denim Indy size 42, the measurements are exactly the same. I hope this helps. Sincerely, Prof.Wex
