I am constantly amazed by the generosity of the people on this board. I am hugely grateful and not a little abashed to be the proud new owner of a very fine horsehide Wested jacket sent to me as a gift from our very own ProfWex. Thank you kind sir! My normal jacket is a lambskin and I'm finding it interesting to be wearing the horsehide, it is thicker and heavier than the lamb of course, but as many find the lamb too thin and dressy and are mourning the loss of the goat this is a very good replacement. It is slightly thinner and lighter than the cowhide I have and is actually pretty similar to the goatskins I have seen in weight, being only slightly smoother. The last pic is to show how it has a little body! It is very Raiders in length and I will post pics with it on (once I get someone to take some!)

KT, That is one beautiful jacket, both in color and finish! It is amazing how many generous people there are in the world, and more specifically, here at the Lounge. I have been truly blessed with a number of great gifts from a couple of folks here, so I know how you feel when you got this. Congrats to Prof Wex for his generosity and to you for such a great looking jacket! BTW, very nice photos of it too! Ken

Wow, what a wonderful gift!! The horsehide is a terrific hide - I've only worn mine briefly as I had to send it back to correct a small stitching problem and haven't had it back yet. It's only right that you should have a HH, KT - afterall, it was your rave review of the hide that encouraged me to buy one! How about some pics of you wearing the jacket?

That is a nice looking jacket. It's a winner!!
In the absence of goat, I may very well have to get a HH, or should I get hat, or a whip.........

KT, I'm very happy to see you enjoying your new HH. I would like to also share your generosity with everyone. Not only did KT help me to obtain a perfect goatskin Indy jacket but I also received this very nice MK VII, which is the first authentic Indy bag I've ever owned. Thanks again KT for this awesome gift. I might also add that G-Mann sent me this brand new NH Indy Shirt, Thanks again G-Mann, I love this shirt, and I'll be taking very good care of it for years to come. Sincerely, Prof.Wex
