Hey Guys, I just wanted to share with everyone this magnificent Wested Goatskin I acquired from KT. This jacket reminds me of the Temple jacket. especially the pockets. I also noticed that this jacket doesn't have the inner leather facing that all the new jackets come with. I love this jacket. Thanks again KT Sincerely, Prof.Wex

Hey Wex! That's one slick looking Wested for sure! I had always been interested in a Wested Goat myself, as I'd heard very good things about the durability of the hide. Too bad Wested had to discontinue it due to the difficulty sourcing hides. Anyways, that one sure is a beauty! I agree with you, I can definitely see a bit of "ToD" in that jacket as well! Looks great! -GCR

Yup, it belonged to a friend of mine, who after lovingly distressing it lost a good amount of weight (he got a new girlfriend ) and had to get the next size down! (jacket, not girlfriend). Anyway glad you like it and let's see a pic with it on!

Nice looking jacket that! The distressing looks very authentic. Goat is a wonderful hide for the Wested too. I unfortunately had to part with mine as it was just a bit too small. If they'd still offered oat I'd have ordered another. As it is, I went with horsehide as an alternative. I hope I get it back soon so I can start wearing it in. How about some "wearing" pics?

It looks great. I'm amazed at how brown the jacket's color is.....at least that's how it looks in these pics. My Wested Goat (which is around two years old) is a very dark brown.....almost black.

The jacket is about a year old. It was one of the last they made. I helped him spec it. It does seem to photograph quite brown, but that could also be down to some of the undertones showing through. I think this pic shows off the grain nicely.

Ok, that looks a little bit more like the current color of mine. Only mine isn't as distressed as this jacket. I think that "water treatment" I did to mine helped dull the coat somewhat and I am noticing some of the hide in certain spots starting to show some wear and the lighter undertones starting to show. It's not much but it is there. That's probably one of the nicest most natural looking distressing jobs I've seen on a jacket lately.

Hey Guys, I just want to show the difference in the pockets on this Goat Skin compared to my lamb, both are size 42 jackets. Sincerely, Prof.Wex Dude, those pockets are waaayy different. I mean, Wested put them upside down for Pete's sake?!? 'Blues

;D ;D ;D Good one, 'Blues! Seriously though, the pockets on the new goat seem to match up well, size and proportion wise, with the pockets on my size 44 Wested lamb. I wonder why the major discrepancy between these two of the same size? -GCR

Prof, see if the lower part of the body of the goat is slimmer than on the lamb, we did spec a slimmer waist, that *might* explain the narrower pockets. (Probably not tho!)
